The Context Of The Russian And Chinese The Amount Of Research,

The dissertation intends to explain the similarity and the dissimilarity of quantity category in different languages, by means of the contrast study on Chinese - Russian quantity category and the semantic expressions. From the angle of lingual types, Russian belongs to singular-plural grammar category; Chinese belongs to quantifier grammar category. From the angle of cognition, both Chinese and Russian quantifiers are constrained and flexible. We resurvey Chinese quantifiers contrasting to Russian, classifying quantifiers into individual and non-individual which is classified into different sub ones, according to semantic value. Practice proves that all the sub classifications of non-individual quantifiers have the counterparts in Russian, based on which we carry on a systematic contrast analysis on the quantifier of substantive and the quantifier of action as well as Russian ??? (??? -, ???y-) and Chinese "半". We also discuss the meaning and usage of "half, and the methods to translate it properly into Russian based on the data of Russian-translated version "Dreams of the Red Mansion". Finally we analyze the relationship of each quantifiers and rhetoric.
