It presents the previous studies on the structure of numeral+quantifiers (noun) as well as enumerates the purpose and significance of the topic, the objects of the study, the research method, theoretical background, the sources of the data and the layout of the paper. The second chapter focuses on the quantity function of the structure of numeral+quantifiers (noun). Apart from the fact that a numeral+quantifier (noun) can express quantity itself, some amount of words also have this function. The chapter examines the structural forms of the determined and non-determined quantifiers using basic theories to analyze and describe the structure of numeral+quantifiers (noun). The third chapter discusses the objective and subjective quantity. The chapter studies the adjectival insertion and the adverbial modification in expressing the objectivity and subjectivity of quantity in the structure of numeral+quantifiers (noun). We apply the objective theories to analyze quantifiers. We analyze their syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features as well as finding the similarities and differences between them. The fifth chapter investigates the truth value of quantity over lapping forms, its’ meaning and syntactic function. The chapter mainly explores five overlapping forms. With the use of the Three-Plane Theory, the author provides the detailed description and explanation of numeral+quantifiers (noun) reduplication, its’ meanings as well as syntactic function. The sixth and seventh chapter are a comparative study on the structure of numeral+quantifiers (noun) between Chinese and Thai. In order to conduct a comprehensive study of Thai numeral+quantifiers with noun case, they can be divided into two forms to represent quantitative, the function of expressing quantity of the structure of numeral+quantifiers(noun), numeral+quantifier(noun) overlapping, copy noun classifiers of Thai, the certainty and uncertainty quantity, the subjective and objective quantity, as well as the explicit and implicit quantity of the structure of numeral+quantifiers (noun), which is next compared with the Chinese counterparts. Finally, similarities and differences between the two are conducted from a typological perspective. The eight chapter constitutes the conclusions. It summarizes the paper as well as exposes its’ research value through enumerating the paper’s innovations and insufficiencies.
