The modernization of Chinese literature has come into being and obtained incessant advancement in the context in which native culture and exotic culture have been colliding and merging each other. As an embranchment of exotic culture, Postmodernism cultural trends in the contemporary market consumption discourse together, has broken though the depression of unitary and grand history narration , released the Man from the shackles of political ideology. It has not merely provided a personalized profile for the 1990s novel, but also to a certain extent contributed to the updating of literary concepts. At the same time, it is also partially responsible for putting contemporary literature in a popular, non-depth and embarrassing situation. To a certain extent, Postmodernism culture accelerated the diversity and complexity of the novels in 1990's and made a unique impact on the upgrade of philosophy spirit and style in contemporary Chinese literature.Face to the plight of globalization and modernization of current literature, the study on the relationship between postmodernism and Chinese literature in 1990's and related issues, which concerns both positive and negative effects, will undoubtedly provide some guidance for us to deal with issues such as modernization and indigenization of Chinese literature. Considering that Previous studies are mainly transplanted from foreign theories and lack of literary entity, this dissertation, adopting the methods of acceptance and influence study in Comparative Literature, aims at two main lines concerning the Human concept of evolution and indigenization of postmodernism to explore the impact of the process of acceptance level, the transformation level, and to display the spirit of Chinese traditional culture and aesthetic of postmodern indigenization choice through the particular interception of Chinese novels in 1990's and Western postmodernism culture and literary creations, the thesis have always been grasping tightly the symbiotic relationship between postmodernism discourse and the market consumptive discourse to avoid relying on a single postmodernism discourse for farfetched comparison.This dissertation consists of five chapters. The first chapter introduces philosophical resource and theoretical nature of the postmodernism culture, mainly analyzes the complexity and paradox of West postmodernism culture theories, and systematically introduces the state which West postmodernism theory and literature has been introduced and accepted in the new era in...
