On the basis of the relevant academic research about emperor SuiYang, the dissertation studies the cultural policies, literary activities and literary creations of SuiYang to further establish emperor SuiYang's status in the history of literature. In addition, the further studies include the emperor SuiYang's innovative cultural policy, practice in the literary activities and influence in literary development of Sui Dynasty and subsequent Dynasty.Analyzing the cultural policies, cultural construction, literary contribution of emperor SuiYang as a whole, this dissertation shows, as a key man in the literary fields of Sui Dynasty, emperor SuiYang influences the literary creations of the Early Prosperous Tang Dynasty. These values of SuiYang based on SuiYang's innovative cultural policy and new changes of cultural patterns, which provide possibility of transformation concerning of the literary creation and the subsequent prosperity of the Tang Dynasty literature. The achievements of litterateurs in Sui Dynasty and prominent literary contribution of emperor SuiYang should be regarded as the result of a change in cultural patterns. Through probing into the common influence between "literary innovation" and "cultural pattern change", this paper discusses the contribution of emperor SuiYang to the cultural field and the influence of subsequent literary development from many dimensionalities.An effort has been made to describe emperor SuiYang and his political culture policy.
