Self-confidence is a healthy and positive mental quality. It refers to an experience of evaluating one's own behavior, ability and value sufficiently. Self-confidence is one of important elements in personality, and it plays an important role on the right development of the whole personality. Self-confidence is the symbol of children's self-awareness development.Based on the children's real living background, this research mainly focuses on the systematic exploration of the structure, developmental characteristic of 3-9 years children's self-confidence, and research on educational improvement of young children's self-confidence under the update educational and developmental psychology views.The dissertation consists of four parts.The first part is "the theory study on self-confidence." Part two is "thoughts and concrete contents of research as a whole, researching problems and its significance." Part three is "the structure, developmental characteristic of children's self-confidence for 3-9 years old and educational improvement of young child's self-confidence." This part is the main part, which consists of three studies.Study one is "research on the 3-9 years old children's self-confidence structure." First of all, this study, adopting the opening questionnaire, discusses the 3-9 years old children's self-confidence structure under the views from the qualitative study. Next, based on the opening questionnaire, case study and theory deduction, this study works out a "Teacher's Questionnaire" on the structure of children's self-confidence for 3-9 years old.
