Market-town (Jizheng) is the connection between city and counties, the cell organization of a society, which is the product of the development of political system and commercial economy. So Market-town is the basic issue of studying on the city system, and it is also the important topic about the development of commercial economy in the historic time. The pervious researches on ancient Chinese market-town were mostly focused on Later imperial period (Ming-Qin dynasty), but few on Tang dynasty, and the researches on archaeological discoveries are absent. Based on the archaeological discovery of Minyueba site, a market-town site dated on Tang-Song dynasty, and integrated the related ancient texts; this paper will try to reconstruct the history of market-town in Tang-Song dynasty.This paper includes 9 chapters as follows:I. Reviews of Tang-Song market-town researches in archaeology and history.II. Methodology and the academic values.III. A brief introduction to the Minyueba site (location, history of archaeological works, reliques).IV. & V. The typology research on reliques in Minyueba site.
