Shanghai Huai Opera Study

Huai Opera, originally named JiangHuai Opera, has exited for two hundred years. It originated in Jiangsu Province, and flows into Shanghai along with refugee of north Jiangsu.Under the influence of Shanghai, it's style has changed from Huai-Oprera of Jiangsu.Seeing that the comprehensive research on Huai Opera in Shanghai is still blank, this thesis will get the history as clues, and combine with the theories to investigate the development of regional opera. Meanwhile, this thesis will give a comprehensive discuss around the main problems in the history of Huai Opera of Shanghai.This article is divided into four parts.The Inrtoduction concentrates on the research status of Huai Opera in Shanghai, and expatiate the Part definition of this paper.In the proceeding 4 chapters, the thesis descirbes the history of the development of Shanghai"Huai Opera"since it came into Shanghai area till 2006 in main.In Part One, the main investigation is about the developing process of the"JiangHuai Opera"in Shanghai. In this period, it is the"taking-root time"of JiangHuai Opera in Shanghai, and the development was affected a lot by the advanced commercial environment of Shanghai. The region environment, the culture, the commercial foundation of Shanghai changesthe Huai Opera in Shanghai greatly. Under the affect of strong commercial and cultural circumstances, the rustic flavor of bi-disciplinary drama was losing gradually.In Part Two, the main investigation is about the history of Huai Opera in Shanghai's development since the P.R.C. founded till"The Cultural Revolution"came to the end. This period is the developing time for Huai Opera in Shanghai, and the political power of P.R.C became the main factor to affect its development. In this chapter, the author discussed the development of Huai Opera in Shanghai under a series of opera policies of the P.R.C., and it also introduced and analyzed these representative dramas in this period.The Part Three decribes the development history of Huai Opera in Shanghai since 1980s. It's the mature period of Huai Opera in Shanghai , from traditional plays, new-adapted history to modern plays, some excellent works came out. Complicated and changeable literature trend of thought were the main factor to affect the development of Huai Opera in Shanghai, the personality of the authors publicized powerfully in their works.The forth chapter concentrated on the Huai Opera in Shanghai's development since1990s. After a short"golden ages", it fell down in front of other new entertainment, but it never stops striking."Urbanized new Huai Opera"was the outstanding achievement of this period. In thischapter, the author evaluated the trend and the change of"Urbanized new Huai Opera".The Part Five describes the style-changing of Huai Opera in Shanghai. First, the author analyzed the traditional style of Huai Opera, and selected these representative and mark able dramas and music to compare with .And the author also talked about how the regional drama keep their own styles in current conditions which the whole world is getting integrated quite often.The rest part of the thesis focus on the present condition of Huai Opera in Shanghai, and it analyzed the crisis that it had to be faced to, and the hiding vitality. Meanwhile, the author uses other types of drama and other literary and artistic forms for reference in order to give out the outlook of Huai Opera in Shanghai's future. She also gave advices in strengthening the reality of content, elevating the flavor of art, and drawing support from broadcasting widely.
