On The Natural Disaster Impact In Mideast Civilization Development

There were many kinds of natural disasters in Mideast in the past five millenniums and brought huge impact in Mideast civilization development. On the basis of Civilization Commerce Theory, this dissertation analyzes the different impacts of natural disaster on the Mideast civilization development, both in positive fact as well as negative fact. Some viewpoints are developed in this study: 1. The character of commerce between human and nature & human interior decided the different impact of natural disaster on civilization. Bad relation brought about huge damage and good relation facilitated civilization development. 2. Natural disaster brought serious challenge to civilization and a response follows. If the challenge was too huge, civilizations may ruin, If the challenge was smaller than the response but huge enough to make the civilization couldn't continue as before, a great chance occurred and a new era was coming; If the challenge was smaller than the response and didn't big enough to make the civilization couldn't continue as before, civilization continue to grow as before.3. Different kind of disasters have different impact on the civilization development, among them, climate disaster's impact was the biggest, plague wais second. But environment disasters such as desertification had the most profundity impact on the civilization development; 4 To response the disasters' challenge, people should dealing with the relationship between human and nature properly, strengthen the cooperation and intercommunion between different civilization and within the same civilization, improve, and realization sustainable development of human civilization.
