Urban is where the natural environment is rebuilded and controled throughtly. In the process of urbanization, the nature is driven out, and loses the particular value of itself, so the nature cannot keep the harmony with urban environment. But we should keep this idea in our mind, that the nature and urban environment are both the treasures of our survival environment. In fact, the charm of urban lies in the harmony between them: nature and urban environment are the two value mirrors present the both values. As for the harmony between nature and urban environment, the harmonious causation is the two different living ideas that nature and urban environment each presents, the harmonious mechanism is"the Harmony between Nature and Human"and"Ecological Harmony", while the harmonious achievement is"the Nature Worked as Body, the Culture Worked as Soul."Secondly, the disharmony is presented on the confusion between urban environment and history. In urban, the history lies in the most important carrier——urban landscape, and the urban landscape's history is indeed the human's history, the urban landscape's fate is indeed the human's own fate. But nowadays, the historical landscape is demolished and forged, the history is only as the recreational materials and commodities. While we should remember that the history is human's history, to demolish the history is to demolish the human nature. As for the harmony between urban landscape and history, we should look upon the the landscape as the deposit of human's civilization. Then the urban's charm can make evident in the historical context. Accordingly, we should appropriately deal with the relation between history, present and future. In short, the urban landscape carries the civilization of one urban, and continue the urban itself life, prize the urban's history is to prize our live, and the harmony between urban landscape and history is the harmony of human's own development.Thirdly, the disharmony is presented on the lacking the feeling of homestead in urban. As far as citizen is concerned, the most important thing is residing, and the most important environmental type is home. The home holds together the citizen's sincere feeling, and when enlarging the home to the whole urban, the urban can be seen as the citizen's homestead: familiarity and friendliness is the citizen's feeling when he is faced to it, accordingly what the urban give to the citizen is the Topophilia. But as for our urban, now our urban is lose the identity of citizen's homestead, nowadays, we, the citizens is at the age of homelessness. Rebuild the homestead feeling of the urban is to let citizen recept the breath of"home", let citizen recept that this urban is living place himself. In the urban construction, we should not only let the citizens living in this urban, but also, maybe more important, loving to live in this urban. In conclusion, only we make the urban the citizen's homestead, can we finally realize the citizen individually ideology, value and feeling.Personality is the beautiful image that the urban environment as a whole can present. And the urban environment between nature, history and citizen's homestead is the three important elements of the personality of urban environment. And the personality is not the simple pile up of the latter three, but represent the most strong, brilliant image of the urban in the premise of the assurance of the harmony between urban environment and nature, history and citizen's homestead. Nowadays, the most anxious thing in our urban is that the urban is lacking the personality, the urbans all over the world are plunged in Identity Crisis. So how to bring out the urban's personality is becoming very important. As far as personality constitution is concerned, the functions that urban performs, the nature environment that urban possesses, the history that urban contains, and citizen's familiarity with the urban are the foundation of the personality constitution, while the connotation and outer visualize, the changeability and stability, the main rhythm and sub rhythm are the three layers of the constitution. Anyway, the urban's charm lies in the personality: The personality combines the human and urban as a whole, and make the citizens and travelers more identify and more friendliness with this urban, consequently, presents the brilliant image of the whole urban.In a word, the urban environment is not only the problem of beauty or not, it involves the problem about the relation between human and urban and the human own fate.
