Research purpose:1.To measure the subjective well-being of urban citizens of Fujian Province with Subjective Well-being Scale for Chinese Citizen;2.To explore the current situation and difference among the urban citizens of Fujian Province;3.To investigate the relationship between the urban development and citizen's subjective well-being status in Fujian Province.Participants and research method:800 questionnaires were delivered to citizens from Fuzhou City and Ningde City in Fujian Province,of which 757 were collected and valid.The research tool is the Subjective Well-being Scale for Chinese Citizen.Data analysis was conducted on SPSS 19.0.Result:1.Subjective Well-being Scale for Chinese Citizen has shown good validity and reliability,which is qualified for psychometric standards.2.The current subjective well-being situation of urban citizens in Fujian Province is generally on a high level.Among all the subscales,the achieved well-being is the highest,followed subsequently by social well-being,psychological well-being and subjective well-being.3.There is no difference on citizen's well-being between genders and between educational level,but there is significant difference on psychological,social and achieved well-beings between citizens' social class.4.There is a significant difference of subjective well-being between cities.The subjective well-being of the citizens of Fuzhou City,of which the urban development is better than the Ningde City's,is higher than the subjective well-being of Ningde City's citizen.5.Urban development has a significant effect on its citizen's well-being.The citizens from cities with higher-level urban development have higher well-being than the citizens from cities with medium-level or lower-level urban development.
