A Study On Tuyuhun

The paper discusses several problems in Tuyuhun's formation, development and perdition as an ethnic group. From the angle of process, it deals with some details which occurred in Tuyuhun's ethnic process and regional process.The paper consists of two parts, nine chapters. The first part is" Tuyuhun's self-shaping". In order to grasp how Tuyuhun made use of its resources to fulfill intergration and self-shaping, it makes a deeply study of Tuyuhun's migration, changes of territory, political system, economic system, social culture, etc. The second part "Tuyuhun's regional interaction" consists of five chapters. It investigates the relationship among Tuyuhun and the Sixteen Kingdoms, the Five Dynasties, Liao dynasty, Song Dynasty, Tibet, and other northern nomadic regimes. From this paper, people can master the interactive process, methods and content between Tuyuhun and the societies around, and understand how Tuyuhun as an ethnic group come into being, developed and at last come to its end.
