Those concepts, such as cultures,education,knowledge,experience are explained again upon the background of newly cultural thoughts. The unusual and the different, custom and old way, individual and condition draw attention too much because of their especially philosophic meaning. So the non-school educational ways of southwest minorities can get a chance to express their own opinions. This is why I choose Tu-jia folksongs as the target for my academic research.Is our life world natural or complex? Did the different contexts and the adopted relationship that exit among the different contexts mean the countless content and way of human being' s experiences? Would this richness be replaced by modernity that has single-character? All those thinking focus on an example: Tu-jia folksongs.The main title of this study is "Tu-jia folksongs: ExperiencesGrowing up and Exchanging" , and the vice title of this dissertation is"A study on the educational function of Tu-jia folksongs in YouYangcounty in ChongQing" . This topic is subdivided into 7 questions. The 1stis that can Tu-jia folksongs do some favor on Tu-jia people' s identity? The second one put forward a question: how the Tu-jia folksongs give hands to the Tu-jia individual during the progress of socialization. The third question is about whether Tu-jia folksongs adapt itself with indigenous knowledge very well? The fourth question focus on whether Tu-jia folksongs is modern or not? Can it support the modernizing process in Tu-jia society? The fifth one is that can we treat the folksongs as a kind of educational resource? The sixth one asks that is there any idea about question 5 available? The question concern with the necessary of making special choice on the research way for Tu-jia folksongs study is the last one.Our research method system adapt to Tu-jia folksongs. The main way is fieldwork of anthropology plus the construct-function analysis of sociology and text-analysis as well. Statistic can be used also if it is necessary.The basic character of research method takes after the character of Tu-jia folksongs. It is qualitative. I hold with the opinion from New Kantism that cultural science and natural science are different in nature. So I pick Tu-jia folk songs into the class of cultural science to guard the completeness of Tu-jia folksongs. We always treat and try to understand and analysis tu-jia folksongs in the Tu-jia people' s way, both when we take fieldwork in YouYang county and when we analyze the text of folksongs.This is a real original study on the educational function of Tu-jia folksongs. The educational wisdom existed in Tu-jia folksongs make the questions above clear.In Tu-jia social life, folksongs are pretty important things that may improve the Tu-jia people's identity to become stronger, may aid or mark the adolescent for their growing up, may carry out the teamwork in field, may organize the common life in communities, may teach morals or express feeling. Depending on the strong efficiency of folksongs on spreading information by mouths, Tu-jia people build up a kind of mechanism to stimulate experience exchanging and growing. Educational action carries out going with the nonstop life. And education will last forever as life go on. What is more, Tu-jia folksongs show their modernity by changing pose.For those elementary school and middle school, which try to build "school-based" curriculum, Tu-jia folksongs is a not bad indigenous recourse for new curriculums.This study is only one case study of the systemic researches, which is known as "the study on education and psychology of southwest minorities".
