The objective of the thesis is about the"pattern"and"conception"of livingsite of human being in Stone Age.The study of"Site"including environment outsideand interior inside.Similar to stone tool,we found that"pattern of living site"wasanother important tool for human being in evolution.The paper is based onArchaeology which now becomes a synthetical science.The methods mostly applyedin the study of Paleolithic Age are"anthropology","typology","Taphonomy",and"site-analysis","settlement analyse"for Neolithic Age.some results are in below:1.In Paleolithic Age:"cave home"was the core for living.It's play animportant role for population growth and physique evolution,living in"Cave home"can stimulate the ability of art and language.The study of many cave site show thatour ancestors had strong conception of"a good home-site".The location of acave-site also showed that they had a power of controlling all the resources aroundthem.There was also pattern in intrasite,the core of interior would be fire place andother functional district just around it.All this mean the original of consciousness of"Design".2.In Mesolithic Age:It's the revolutionary period although it short in time.When people go out from"cave home"to"openair camp site",the site provideopportunity for them to invent pottery and agriculture during the warmer climateperiod because of the end of Ice Age.3.In Neolithic age:As the developing of building technology,two style ofarchitecture was found in China:"wood-mud wall"and"gan-lan".Now people livingin village with more comfortable and hygienic home,huge house and open space wasfor public ceremony.The whole pattern of the site and village became the part ofthe culture.Until now you can see the diversity of cultures in China.City appeared atthe later period of Stone Age when our country would step into another new stage.
