This dissertation tries to organize,interpret and review the titles and articles ofserial journals such as Yi Lin Xun Kan,Yi Lin Yue Kan & special features of You ShanZhuan Hao and other magazines that have the longest publication history in Beijingduring Republic of China period by sorting out,analyzing,comparing andsynthesizing these materials using the methods of literature demonstration whiletrying to cast off the conceptive interference.This dissertation focuses on thereference to related literature and materials on the origination,reformatting,operation,advertising,spreading of these journals and their editors and contributors to proceedwith historical fact study.We try to investigate,from the reading perspective,into thespecific efforts made by Beijing fine art groups,especially cultural groups of fine art,to extract traditional technique and reserve national quintessence when facingrevolutionary tides,try to expound their cultural orientation and intelligentcharacteristics featuring not only fine art but also fine art culture,try to acknowledgethe historical value and meaning of their inheriting and handover of traditionalcultural connotation and reserving principles of traditional Chinese aesthetics,and tryto conceive the inbred cultural logic of Chinese fine art together with its potentialdevelopments.This dissertation also covers the clarification of people's queries on thefoundation and dissolution of China Painting Study Academy and the role of itsDirector General,status of operation disclosed by journal advertisement and transferof distribution and sales,current concept and category of Chinese fine art,personalprofile of Zhou ZhaoXiang,Editor-in-Chief of Yi Lin.Cross-reference of abundantcurrent literature and materials represents a special feature in the writing of thisdissertation.The whole article is divided into six parts:The introduction,mainly onthe status in quo of recent and modern fine art history and journals of fine artcommunities to highlight the necessity and the blank-filling academic value of Yi Linseries.The first chapter introduces the study on the publishing of Yi Lin series.The2nd and 3rd chapter provides an in-depth analysis on the titles and content of Yi Linseries.The 4th chapter presents a study on individuals of Yi Lin people and an overallstudy.The last chapter is the epilogue.
