Phonological Studies On The Chu Bamboo Slips In Pre-Qin Period

This paper coordinated all Tongjiazi,Yitizi in all Chu Bamboo Slips .A Databasehas been made on this material and some statistical analysize has been done. Finially,there are some conclusions.(一) Initials1. By research the material of labial, I suppose there are four Initials, such as p,Ph,b,m in the Chu, and some of them came from the Consonant Clusters such as kw,pr-,p~hr-,br.2. By research the material of tongue sound , I suppose there are five Initials, suchas t,t~h,d,n,r and some Consonant Clusters such as kw,pr-,p~hr-,br in the ChuPhonology. I also suppose that some of Consonant ones had alreadydisappeared in the Chu.3. By research the material of精jingzu and庄zhuang zu, I suppose that thereis a law "jing zu and zhuang zu confluence" in Chu.4. By research the material of Dentals and Gutturals , I suppose that there aretwo sets Dentals and Gutturals in the Ancient Chinese : one is single Initials, such ask,k~h,g,η,x,γ,(?), the other is labialized velars, such as kw,k~hw,gw,ηw,xw,γw,(?)w. I reconstruct the "以yi" and I suppose it was read as "1". Thereare some Consonant Clusters such as sK- and Q1 in Chu.5. By research the material of nasals , I suppose that there are three sets nasals :the first one is ordinary nasal m,n,η, the second one is nasality plosive mp-, the lastone is nasals with s- prefix.(二) Rhyme Category6. By research the material of之zhi and幽you groups , I suppose that part ofzhi became之zhi ,part of蒸zheng became文wen ,part of觉jue became幽you,part of中zhong became东dong. 7. By research the material of侯hou and鱼yu groups , I propose that rhyme东dong contacted frequently with rhyme侵qin , part of final consonant of rhyme侵qin had already became -η, rhyme鱼yu contacted frequently with rhyme铎duo, part of羊jang entered rhyme质zhi.8. By research the material of支zhi and歌ge groups , I propose that rhyme祭ji contacted frequently with rhyme月yue , part of rhyme侵qin had alreadyentered rhyme真zhen.9. By research the material of脂zhi and微wei groups , I propose that part ofrhyme微wei had already entered rhyme脂zhi, part of rhyme质zhi had alreadyentered rhyme物wu, part of rhyme真zhen had already entered rhyme文wen.10. By research the material of辑ji and叶ye groups , I propose that the fourrhyme should separate , and part of final consonant of rhyme侵qin had alreadybecame - n ,and part of rhyme叶ye had already entered rhyme谈tan.
