Ponology is one of the important aspects in the ancient Chinese. Because Chu bamboo slips are large and rich, so they are extremely valuable clues for reseaching in ancient ponology. Based on the absorption of Chinese Pronunciations previous research results, we will inspect the state of Chu dialects ponology system.The maerials that we mainly use are: Chu bamboo slips of Shanghai Museum in the Warring States Period, all five (2001-2006, 2000). Xiesheng谐声, jiajie假借, yiwen异文and so on.The discoveries of chu slips provide a great deal of help for us. But after all, it is not a living language, we have to refer a great many of opinions of many scholars.
