Influenced by"linguistic turning"in the academic field, linguistic approach is employed as a new method of literary study. Linguistic approach offers alternative interpretative possibilities on the interrelationship between literature and individual's being in the world—subjectivity in literature. Traditional linguistic philosophy takes language as a tool of expressing and focuses on studying how language can express the thought and inner feelings at most extent but ignores how literature is indispensably related to man's living in the world. Formist and structuralist as modern linguistic approaches nevertheless emphasize on language form and textual structure itself and wipe man off the literary text and thus cover the issue of subjectivity in literature. Comparing to language as a tool or a structure, parole is a lively personal use of language and initiates a new perspective to interpret the interrelationship between literature and individual's being in the world: literature is no longer a combination of content and form but a way of individual's living and representing individual's full existence in the world. In this way, privacy is characteristic of literature parole.Discussion on privacy of literature parole is not attempted to set up a kind of private language for individual but to find out the necessity and possibility of expressing individual's inner life under the language's public rules and principles. The paper tries to point out that the reason for Wittgenstein's disapproval of private language is the contradiction between the privacy of individual's inner life and the commonly-shared language rules. So the paper aims to seek answers to the following three questions: in the literary world, whether the individual's inner life is necessary to be personally expressed, whether it is possible to be personally expressed, and how it can be personally expressed. As to the first question, the paper tries to prove that individual inner life is an indispensable part of individual and even human being's life, and it is also the inner resource that initiates the occurrence of literary parole. The representation of individual's inner life entrusts the literary parole the characteristic of privacy: the personal perspective of observing the world around himself; the break of social bondage and the set-up of self; the personal expression of inner life and feelings. The identity of language and life provides the possibility of personally representing individual's inner life through literary writing. Behind the veil of conception, definition and abstraction, language has another characteristic: poetic figure which reflects the connection of language and life. The conversational figure of literary parole also make individual's inner life personal representation possible because in the aesthetic field set by literary parole, the mutual understanding among subjects is achieved by one subject listening to and answer another subject's expression rather that one subject conquering or grasping objects. How the individual's inner life can be personally expressed and how its privacy can be preserved after expression involves the language formation of individual's inner life. The paper argues that the proper way of representing inner life is not the language finding way towards inner feelings but inner feelings self-expressing through"image", a poetic formation of language. On the other hand, the paper proves that"the meaning beyond the mere words", or implication is a space accepting and containing the privacy of individual's inner life after expressing through language.By answering the questions related to individual's inner life representation in the literary field, the paper aims to find a new approach to study the interrelationship between literature and individual's being in the world.
