Study On Populism In Latin America Of The 20^th Century

The 20th century of Latin America is almost the century of populism: from the beginning of the 20th century, then to the 1930s-1960s, and in the 1990s, populism in Latin America goes through the long process. It should be called the political miracle because of its lasting effect.Just the same as the political experience, studies on populism in Latin America become more and more blossoming. But we should not be satisfied with the research of populism in Latin America. The different research has puzzled us for long time. According to the contrast between practices and the theories, the theme-populism in Latin America of the 20th century is confirmed. There are several considerations behind this theme: how to define the concept of populism in order to explain the phenomena of populism in Latin America of the 20th century? What characteres populism in Latin America of the 20th century does have? And how to analyse the effect of populism in Latin America of the 20th century?The answers to those questions is the logic of the dissertation, which include such answers as below: populism in Latin America of the 20th century should be defined as a kind of political strategy, and we should view this political strategy from the inner-structure, which includes mass man, leaders and election, and the out-structure, which includes economic structure, social structure and political structure, and we should analyse the effect of populism from the aspects of mass man, society and nation.Correspondingly, the dissertation comprises six chapters. The third is the historical phases of populism in Latin America of the 20th century. The fourth is the analytical frame of populism, which includes the inner-structure and the out-structure. The fifth includes the characteres and its effect of populism. The sixth is the future of populism in Latin America of 21st century.The innovation of the dissertation comprises three aspects: firstly, the historical analyse of populism in Latin America of the 20th century according the perspective of political strategy; Secondly, the analytical frame of populism, which includes the inner-structure and the out-structure; thirdly, the five characteres and its effect of populism.
