Xinjiang region has the diversity of outstanding features as a relatively independent cultural unit area, especially in ethnic, linguistic, cultural practices, values, beliefs. Xinjiang keeps an open situation in the long history period. Race, language, culture and religion outside continued and continued into the Xinjiang region, integration, evolution and even developed to form a pattern of diverse religious and cultural ecology after long term. In Xinjiang's ecological evolution of religious culture history, had Zoroastrianism, Manichaeism which have disappeared now, there have Christianity which came to here three times, once was the center of Buddhism in the world, and also has experienced Islamization. In this magical land, religion spreads, creep, fracture, adapt and update is intertwined. Contemporary Xinjiang, Islam flourishes, Christianity and the Catholic Church have another development, and this is the main features of Xinjiang religious culture of ecological patterns contemporary.My paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces the sources of religious and cultural ecological theory, the main research contents and methods, and the meaning of applying this theory to the Xinjiang religious studies; In the second chapter reviews the cultural ecology of religion in the formation of natural, cultural and ecological environment. And introduced the two fields point in this paper Kashi and Ili region of profiles; Chapter III for the Xinjiang ecological pattern of religious and cultural characteristics are summarized:First, it is a relatively independent of religious and cultural ecological regions, Islam in central Asia with the Mainland as well as different characteristics; Second, the southern to the unitary nature of Islam religion-based features and northern-based multi-religious coexistence with Islam, the characteristics of contrast; Third, the religious culture of the Xinjiang Ecological Patterns with open and closed characteristics; Finally, religious and cultural ecosystems in Xinjiang has a certain vulnerability, mainly due to the multi-pass religion and religious extremism and models side by side, Religion religious and cultural exchanges with the mainland and the large number of small social groups of instability caused by the presence of. Chapter IV, the difficulties and reasons which contemporary Xinjiang faced the modernization and secularization in the global trend. Chapter VI Conclusion, re-emphasize importance of the ecological balance of the religious culture in Xinjiang.The most important for ecological study of religion for Xinjiang is to provide a new perspective to study the religion in Xinjiang. In this perspective, the first thing is regard religion as a complex social system, the formation, evolution, balance and imbalance are common affects the result of various factors. Second, the perspective from Xinjiang to think about religion in Xinjiang, not only in China's western on the frontier, ethnic and religious issues of a complex and dangerous place, one of today's geopolitical center of the sensitive and delicate, an international terrorist base from hundreds of kilometers away in the powder keg. National language and culture and rich religious and cultural heritage is a unique advantage in Xinjiang, excellent location advantage will not only make Xinjiang economy become the center of the national economy, also stability and harmony in Xinjiang should be an important fulcrum for China's rapid economic development. It is also become the results of the show and sharing area with the development of China.
