The question of the relationship between religion and science in academic research has always been one of the hot spots. More academic theory on the relationship between the two studies, but the empirical studies of combination of theory and practice area is very few. Therefore, the papers in this special group of collegian in Xinjiang on the relationship between religious and scientific knowledge as a research perspective, the use of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, literature study, a comparative study of sociology of religion and so on, an analysis of two collegian in Xinjiang those who understand the situation of the relationship between, found that some of the collegian in Xinjiang has fuzzy understanding of the relationship between them. In addition, guiding the students to understand the religion correctly and scientific and will help students resist ideological penetration of the hostile forces in Xinjiang by the cloak of religion and social stability in Xinjiang.In addition to the introduction and conclusion part of the full text, is divided into four parts:The first part focused on the relationship between religion and science and as basic principles of collegian's in Xinjiang study the relationship between the cognitive status of both. Religion and science in the world view and methodology, and social functions of the antagonism decide the nature of the confrontation between the two; chaotic and uncertain between the two origins, the good coincidence of religion and social ethics and moral aspects and so on constitute the link conditions. Therefore, the relationship between religion and science is unity and opposites totally.The second part mainly from ethnic, geographical, political outlook to deal with the data of collegian in Xinjiang on the relationship between religious and scientific. The data shows that 54% collegian in Xinjiang have mastered the Marxism's basic theory and understanding the relationship between science and religion. 46% collegian don't have clearly understanding about the basic theory of the relationship between religion and science. These vague understanding embodied in: first, unclear of understanding the science's meaning causing some collegian in Xinjiang view that the religion is scientific; Second, there is confusionon understanding of the essential difference between religious and scientific.The third part focuses on the basis of the questionnaire to analysis the reasons of the fuzzy understanding on the relationship between the two of the collegian in Xinjiang. From the subjective point of view, including the growth characteristics of their students, the liberal and science students with different ways of thinking, and the status of religion in their hearts of the Han and minority; from the objective point of view, including the influence of the mainstream point of the relationship between religion and science, and the impact of the errors theory of relationship between the two. In addition, the natural environment and social environment have influence to university students in Xinjiang. The fourth part focus on the recommendations to correct the students'vague understanding on the relationship between religion and science. On the base of fully understanding the significance of the relationship between the two, combinating the geographical location of Xinjiang and the district special situation, we will take some measures to help students in Xinjiang correctly understand the relationship between them, including guide the collegian to set correct Marxist religion, enhancing the education of law relating to religion, to strengthen the college party, college organizations and to establish a professional teachers with the Marxist concept of religion through the Marxist concept of religion.
