This doctoral dissertation is from the source of Chinese Film Review to start. Taking film review of "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" and "The School of New Sensibilities " in 1910 to 1930s as the research objects. This paper discusses the ideological culture and literature criticism in the special features and value. At the same time, in the overall cross-examine: how can Traditional Cultural Vein last in film review of "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" and "The School of New Sensibilities", how the "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" and "The School of New Sensibilities" can impact the modern concept of film review .This paper traces the late Qing dynasty from the film began, through picking up the value of three earliest Chinese representative film review texts in the late 1910s until the early 1920s, to explore the problem of initiate China film review "public space", and also to inspect the relationship between film review intellectual scholar and civilians' film review with the traditional values and the modem thoughts .Then, this paper discussed two aspects of film review in the 1920s which occupy the mainstream of "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies": first, how can "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" scholar load Chinese Traditional Cultural Vein in film review to response modern society, what's the meaning of echoes of "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" Traditional Cultural Vein in the film review and initiate Chinese film or film culture undertaking? Second, how can "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" scholar to load Traditional Cultural Vein in writing further portrayals of modern Chinese city of daily life in civilian, cultural criticism, knowledge concept referral or message spread ?"The School of New Sensibilities " scholar Liu Na'ou and Mu Shiying, since the 1928, with its "visual aesthetic" ideas and film review, broke through the practice of "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" almost scored in the 1920s Chinese film review pattern. This paper compares the film criticism of Liu Na'ou and Mu Shiying with 1920s "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" film review , and explore the situation of 1930s "soft film" and "hard film" in the real film storm in China, discussing the influence and introspection of film review in order. Thereby , investigating the establishment and contribution "The School of New Sensibilities " scholar made in the film review practice and criticism theory.1910 to 1930s"Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" and "The School of New Sensibilities " of film review were considered as the early Chinese film review of two important context, once was unintentionally, without getting concentrated further research. This dissertation uses many unearthed historical literary criticism researches in "Mandarin Ducks and Butterflies" and "The School of New Sensibilities" as foundation , probes into the value of the early Chinese film review on the ideological culture and literature criticism .From one side to promote the Chinese early history of film review.
