The school of Yan-You of Japan and Mandarin Duck and Butterfly of China are two factions of the literature that have many similarities, both in the background, writing attitudes, ideas and producing sense, are very similar and common. However, the comparative study of the two is still very weak at present, apart from Professor Wang Xiangyuan "Japan's Yan-You and China's Mandarin Duck and Butterfly" has maken a more comprehensive manner description, there is no more systemetic domestic article. This paper starts from the analysis of specific works, parallely compares Yan-You with Mandarin Duck and Butterfly Literature focusing on the background of business and humanity, love and marriage, as well as the rational kernel of the chivalrous novels.In the background of business and humanity, Japan's Meiji period and the late Qing Early Republic of China are the turning points of historical development, the two periods not only in a tremendous change of government, but also a exacerbated development of commodity economy and more frequent business activities.The two literatures describ that similar social conditions and show the human's spirit under the environment. In love and marriage issues, the two literatures have highlighted the awakening of human nature and the fetters of the tradition, in the conflict on reality, but are expressed as two different situations as love and money, love and ethics. Finally, in the chivalrous novels the two literartures are not divorced from traditional values, embodied the undertaking of the national spirit; but under the similar background of invasion by western powers, there have been different changes in the traditional spirit, the Evolution of the Japanese Bushido spirit and the highlights of the China's patriotic spirit.
