Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought---the integration of the united front theories and the party-relation theories of Marxism-Leninism with the practice of the Chinese revolution and construction by Mao Zedong, and the thonght on the cooperation between the Chinese Communist Party and the other parties in China, is the most direct theories basis for the system of multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party. This thesis will completely and systemicly study the thought.Chapter One which is composed of three parties lays stress on analyzing and studying the basis of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought. The main contents in every pary are as follows: (1) the theories bases of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought is the united front theories and the parties-relation theories of Marxism-Leninism; (2) the history bases of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought is a summary of the experiences of the Chinese parties relations since a party was born in China; (3) the actuality bases of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought is the practices of the long cooperation between the Chinese Communist Party and the other parties in China, including the second cooperation between the Chinese Communist Party and Guomindang. Chapter Two studys the development process of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought. According to the history course of the Chinese revolution and construction, and especially the logic development that the mulit-party cooperation turned from a policy in the unite front to a basic political sistem, from a party relation to a party sistem, there were four periods in the development process of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought. (1) the first period was from the time that "the great alliance of the mass" was published in 1919 to 1935. In this period, Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought was in gestation. Its signs were that Mao Zedong was convinced of the importance of the unite front and got a clear understanding of Guomindang, of who was our enemies and who was our friends. At the same time, he had mentioned the principle of independence and gripping the leadership to the unite front. (2) The second period was from the time that the Zunyi Meeting was convened in 1935 to 1939. In this period, Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought came into being. Its signs were that Mao Zedong definitely put forward that the parties must cooperate so as to resist the aggression of Japan, and expounded many questions on the multi-party cooperation such as the leadership, independence, the common political bases, organization and the connection of the multi-party cooperation with democracy. (3) The third period was from the time that "the discuss on the new democratism" was published in 1940 to the time that the new Chinese people's political consultative conference was convened in 1949. In this period, Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought gradually matured. Its signs were that Mao Zedong definitely put forward the important idea of practising the united dictatorship of all revolutionary classes and the political opinion of setting up a coalition government. (4) The last period was from 1949 when the People Republic of China was founded to 1976. In this period, Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought continued to develop. Its signs were that Mao Zedong further expounded the character and function of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and put forward the problem on the development of the democratic parties, especially that Mao Zedong put forward the principle of "long-term coexistence, mutual supervision, treating each other with all sincerity and sharing weal or woe". But after June of 1957, the development of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought was in stagnation and in the setback.Chapter Three analyzes the fundamental contents of Mao Zedong's Multi-party Cooperation Thought.
