On The Sustainable Development Of China's Foreign Trade

This dissertation is aimed at making a comprehensive study of the sustainable development of the foreign trade of China. It consists of the introduction and main body. The introduction expounds the four questions relating to the paper, the foundation and the significance of the selected topic and the whole structure of the dissertation. It also summarizes the viewpoints of the sustainable development of the foreign trade of the domestic scholars. On the basis of this, the author advances the meaning of the sustainable development of the foreign trade. That is to say, the theory of sustainable development of foreign trade based on abiding by inner development rule of the foreign trade, by improving the system of the foreign trade, increasing the efficiency of the foreign trade, utilizing and arranging in reason the resource of foreign trade so as to make the economy and the foreign trade of a country realize the effective run and moderate development in the long term. The meaning of the sustainable development of the foreign trade of a country should include the content as follows: (i) the quantum and the developing ability of foreign trade keeps going up steadily; (ii) the resource of foreign trade keeps supplying chronically and steadily; (iii) the structure of foreign trade optimizes constantly, and the international competitiveness of goods keeps increasing by degrees: (iv) the trading contribution to national economy and society development of a country keeps higher; (v) the terms of trade turn better continuously.The main body is divided into three parts and each part includes several chapters. The first part(from chapter one to chapter three) expatiates on the basic theories of the system of the sustainable development of the foreign trade, the second part(from chapter four to chapter six) discusses the inside and outside conditions and the status quo of the foreign trade of China, the third part(from chapter seven to chapter eight) puts forward some concrete steps of the sustainable development of the foreign trade of China.Chapter one analyzes the system structure, the basic characteristics and the types of the sustainable development of foreign trade. The system of the sustainable development of foreign trade may be divided into two-subsystems: the system of quantity increase and the system of quality development. It is a multiple, dynamic, opening and harmonious system. It includes three sorts: the imbalance development system of quantity and quality in which the quantity increases faster but the quality develops slower, the imbalance development system of quantity and quality in which the quality develops faster but the quantity increases slower, and the balance development system of quantity and quality.Chapter two analyses the operating mechanism of the system of the sustainable development of foreign trade. This mechanism is made up of the dynamic sub-mechanism and the balance sub-mechanism. The former, which consists of the dynamics of economy, policy, culture and competitiveness, supplies energy in long-term and even way to the system of the sustainable development of foreign trade. The latter, which consists of the dynamics of governmental controlling, self-discipline, society, market and international norms, leads correctly or modifies the direction of the system of the sustainable development of foreign trade. The two sub-mechanisms must harmonize and keep coherence with each other.Chapter three explores the fundamental concepts and the estimating indices of the capability establishing of the sustainable development of foreign trade. The capability of the sustainable development of foreign trade lies to enforcing the capabilities of the supporting, the self-developing and the balance of the system of the sustainable development of foreign trade. The estimating indices of the sustainable development of foreign trade include three main sorts of indices: the indices of the supporting capability of circumstance resource, self-developing and self-balancing.Chapter four analyzes th...
