The Development Of Coastal Eco-tourism Model Study

The thesis studies seashore ecotourist area and probes into its development model by combing the actual development of the seashore ecotourism in Jiangsu Province.The thesis is composed of five chapters. Chapter One discusses the origin, development and study progress of ecotourism. It also expounds the connotation and features of seashore ecotourism. Chapter Two makes further study into the theoretical bases including oceanology, environment ethnics, landscape ecology, eco-capacity, clean production, environment economics and tourism system as well as their applications in ecotourism. Chapter Three makes comprehensive analysis on the current conditions and problems by wide-ranged material collection and on-the-spot investigation. It also analyzes and evaluates the conditions of area location, resources, market and environment so as to determine the advantageous resources and areas of the seashore ecotourism development and establish an evaluation index system of Jiangsu seashore ecotourism resources accordingly. Then it refers to the environment capacity measurement and applies mathematical methods to analyze and evaluate the eco-environment capacity in Jiangsu seashore areas, which provides referential basis to ecotourism planning and ecotourism product development. Chapter Four reasonably positions the development of Jiangsu seashore ecotourism, outlines the development model, tour image promotion and tour marketing model and space layout model of ecotourist area. It also makes related studies on Jiangsu seashore ecotourism production system and its development and brings forward the development strategy of Jiangsu seashore ecotourism. Chapter Five advances the development countermeasures and drafts the establishment of a seashore wetland national park by combining the analysis of Jiangsu seashore wetland ecotourist resources.The thesis considers that seashore ecotouism is an important form of and access to implementing sustainable development of seashore ecotourism and that seashore ecotourism area differentiates from that of the inland with distinctive landscape features. In the process of developing seashore ecotourism, such theories as sustainable development, oceanology, landscape ecology, eco-capacity, environment economics, etc. should be aptly used to conduct the practice of tourism development. Furthermore, the notions of development such as environment ethnics, clean production, and ecology friendship, etc. should be comprehensively introduced and the method of systematicness should be adapted to develop ecotourism. Thus the thesis composes the ecotourism model on the abovementioned basis.The thesis emphasizes that to evaluate seashore ecotourist resources rationally and to appraise and measure ecotourism capacity scientifically are the key points of seashore ecotourism development. The traditional tourist resources evaluation methods, however, didn't fully consider tour environment quality and resource development potential so that scientific evaluation could hardly be applied to ecotourist resources and there were no unified and regulated criteria and methods to measure and appraise eco-environment capacity. Therefore, the thesis establishes a new ecotourist resources evaluation index system and a new ecotourism environment capacity evaluation index system by combining the features of ecotourist resources and the practical development. Then it applies the quasi-primary composition method and blurred comprehensive evaluation method to appraising the ecotourism resources in the major seashore tourist destinations of Jiangsu Province and draws relatively rational evaluation results, which thusprovides methods and foundation to the scientific evaluation of seashore ecotourist resources, predicting its development potential and determining its development and utility intensity and scales.The thesis summarizes the behavior features of China's domestic ecotourists for the first time on the basis of investigating and analyzing the developing conditions of Jiangsu seashore ecotourism.
