Ecotourism is the fastest developing sector of tourism. Ecotourism is evolved from nature tourism; It has been given much attention by tourism experts since the 1980s.Ecotourism of nature reserves has become a new trend of tourism development around the world.Having analyzed almost all the information on ectourism 1 can get. This thesis found some nature reserves have also developed ecotourism industry in China, which is going on well as a whole. But due to such problems as viewing nature reserves as common tourist destinations and viewing exploitation of nature reserves as construction of tourist area.Based on the above concept, the author refers to a large number of Chinese and foreign documents related to experience of tourism planning and exploiting, ecotourism theories and landscape ecology. Then with the practical experience of being engaged in the tourism exploiting and planning, the author, taking willing mountain, a state-class nature reserves in Hebei province as a example, poses the protective exploitation of ecotouism 'and planning and tourist carrying capacity in nature reserves.The thesis consists of seven chapters.Chapter one is comprehensive comment on ecotourism. By giving a comprehensive review on the appreace, development history and current situation of ecotourism, this chapter gives an outline of ecotourism.Chapter two, chapter three, chapter four and chapter five are theoretical study on ecotourism.In chapter two, the author supposes the investigation measures of tourism of resource to appraise tourist's resource. The thesis discusses two measures, which appraises tourist resource. One thinks about nature reserves of scale and condition, environment quality of the resource and exploiting condition of the tourist. Another discusses tourist scale and ecology elasticity to appraise tourist resource.Chapter three studies protective exploitation of ecotourism and pose that the mode of cyclic and protective exploitation and exploiting procedures in nature reserves.In chapter four, the author studies principle, rules, methods and procedures of ecotourism planning. The author suggests that a standard ecotourism plan should consist of five parts.With analyzing the tourism development, chapter five find a completely new method to understand tourist carrying capacity. The new method combines the determination of tourist carrying capacity with the assessment of environmental impacts. An indicator system for evaluating tourist carrying capacity is founded in this chapter.Chapter six studies ecotourism development in Wuling Mountain, a state-class nature reserve in Hebei province.
