| As being set forth by the 15th Plan for the National Economic and Social Development, the guideline for the development of national economy is to focus on economic development and restructuring, and to stick to the policy of reform and opening-up, as well as promotion of science and technology. To focus on economic development, we should grasp the major trend of world economy, and increase people's awareness of unexpected development of economy and continue to boost the domestic demand. To carry out economic restructuring, we should concentrate on the promotion of economic efficiency so as to improve the quality of the national economy and the capacity to take part in the international competition, and to reshape the overall economic structure. To stick to the policy of reform, opening-up and promotion of science and technology, we should persistently deepen the reform and opening-up course, adopt the strategy of "going-out" while actively implement the "inviting-in" policy. Furthermore, we should intensify our efforts on the implementation of strategy for revitalizing the nation through science and education, and continue to promote the development of science and technology, while strengthening the capacity-building course.Since the 1980s, the economy globalization has changed the flow and allocation of commodity, technology, capital, work force and information-the fundamental factors of production. It also has made profound influence on the international economic structure, the corporate business globalization strategy, the nation's economic development pattern and doctrines for business globalization management. Through worldwide production, there appears a new international division pattern, hence the change of economic growth environment for the members of world community. By making use of the foreign direct investment (FDI). Developed countries has ever strengthened their dominance over the world's economic progress, while the developing countries are trying to improve their position on the new economic globalization process. China has to take into account the globalization economy environment when achieving the economic growth target and implementing the opening-up policy. Adopting foreign direct investment (FDI), China will obtain a smooth on-going of the domestic economic structure reform and will acquire the ability to cooperate and compete with international businesses in a larger scope and to a deeper extent.The purpose of this article is to take a close look at the contribution of foreign direct investment (FDI) to Chinese domestic economic growth, and the strategy and policy adopted by Chinese authorities in guiding the foreign direct investment (FDI) from China.
