The shipbuilding industry is the strategic industry in our nation and one of the most competitive industries in the whole world. After decades of fast development, our shipbuilding capacity and output has ranked the third in the whole world. But compared with the leading two countries, Japan and South Korea, there is still a great gap not only in the shipbuilding capacity and the output but also in the quality of products, and the technological and managing level. Besides, the sub-standard of the enterprises behavior and the imperfection of the industry policy have contributed to the limiting factors to the further development of our shipbuilding industry. Thus, to maintain and better the competitive advantages, we should further optimize the industrial organization, standardize the enterprise behavior and make out the rational industrial policies. That's the point the thesis stresses at.The analyses of the thesis are beginning with the scientific generalization of the status quo of the development of the organization theories and carried out with the market structure, the market behavior and the market performance theories.First of all, the shipbuilding market structure is studied in the thesis. Through the analyses of the geographical and product factors of the definite market, the shipbuilding market is defined as the world market and with the analyses of the market concentration, product variation and entry or retreat of the trading barrier, the conclusion is drawn that world shipbuilding market is the low concentration oligarchy market. And under the further analyses of the features of the buyer's market, the another conclusion is drawn that the monopolization structure of the market is unmatched to the profits of the shipbuilding enterprises.In addition, the non-symmetry information games model and the Switch demand bending curve are applied to the study of the pricing behavior of the shipbuilding enterprises. Thus, the conclusion is drawn that those enterprises that have the better product quality will gain the more freedom of price choiceand those who enjoy the lower cost will have bigger space to choose the appropriate price.On the other hand, the economic scale of shipbuilding enterprises is analyzed. Considering the technical and economic characteristics of the shipbuilding industry, through the analysis of the main production procedures, we get the nature of economic scale. The conclusion is that under the tendency that the average cost of shipbuilding enterprises descends, the shipbuilding enterprises appear to be bigger scale.With analyses of vertical specialization and cooperation among shipbuilding enterprises, the theoretical basis of their cooperation is proposed, the cooperation model is designed and the conclusion is drawn that the cooperation closeness should be in harmony with the price and technological level between the shipbuilding enterprises and their cooperation enterprises.Based on the analysis of the horizontal alliance of shipbuilding enterprises. The article analyzes the rationality of market efficiency, which leads to the conclusion that the competitive competence can be strengthened by means of shipbuilding enterprises' alliance.At last, through the systematic analyses of the national shipbuilding industry policies, we conclude that the national shipbuilding industry policies is proposed to encourage the cooperation among the different enterprises and between that of the enterprises and the science and research institutes and control competition moderately.
