Employment And Social Security Interactive Relationship

This paper focuses on the interaction of employment and social security by means of empirical analysis. Firstly, with the definition of such key concepts as employment and social security and their respective measurement, some fundamental theories and the current situations in developed countries in this aspect are introduced. There follows the qualitative analysis of the relation between employment and social security. The author thinks the tie between the two factors represents that of equality and efficiency. The two factors are in a dialectical unity, with employment playing the main role and social security functioning in an opposite way. In order to make their relationship more clear, the author comes up with two original concepts, that is general-typed social security and employment-dominant social security, and separately defines and analyzes their characteristics, financial sources and expenditure and makes a comparison between them and employment. Much attention is paid to the detailed and empirical study of the employment and social security relationship in the employment-dominant social security from the angle of fund and human resources. On the basis of standard analysis, with the use of qualitative analysis, mathematic models and empirical research, the author focuses on the five influential elements in the employment-dominant social security including social security payment rate, substitute rate of social security, employees, the retired and the unemployed and reaches some conclusions and offers relevant polices according to the theme of the interaction between employment and social security to achieve the improvement of financial balance, employment and social security. In final part, the author makes a conclusion of the actual circumstances and the unique points in our country and then comes out with some original and practical social policies.
