As the impersonal outcome of the productivity development, nowadays economic globalization develops quickly and is in the ascendant. It has been the most important matter of economic development, the brightest character of our times and the irreversible development trend in today's world. It influences the historical development of human society deeply, accelerates the variance of traditional society, speeds up the surging of ideological and culture, and quickens up the initiative transform of each country in political and economic fields. At the same time, economic globalization breaks through the traditional research that takes nation-state as the basic angle of view, and puts forward a new angle of view that countercharges the "modernity". Therefore, as soon as the presence of the concept and theory of "economic globalization", it arouses worldwide attention and furious argument immediately. During the process of the economic globalization research, we find that with the development of globalization, social inequality is manifested at the international level and deteriorates increasingly within the developed countries. To trace the roots of it, during the course of economic globalization, the formation of strong capital, weak countries and infirm labor pattern and the variance of economic, society and ideological culture, impact acutely the Keynes' "demand-management" policy and the social safeguard mechanism of developed countries. As a result, traditional social welfare state's pattern ends. The thesis takes this as an incisive point, sees about welfare state practical problems from multidimensional angles, appraises and analyses the active reform of "welfare state", and forecasts the future of welfare state during the course of economic globalization. The main part of the thesis consists of three chapters. The first chapter sees about the basic theory of economic globalization and welfare state and the relation of them from the macroscopical and overall angle, which establishes the theory base and foundation of making a point of the whole thesis. Through the study of the history, status quo and theory of economic globalization, the thesis points out that economic globalization indicates the economic interrelation and interdependence of each county and area globally, and it also refers to a kind of increasingly consanguineous development state and course which is based on the extending and deepening of world market. Through the study of the welfare state's history and the analysis of the pattern character, the thesis points out that welfare state are the result of many factors' interaction of the political, economic, society and ideological culture fields in the postwar western European welfare state, and they have specific theory meaning and common pattern character. Through the primary unscrambling of welfare state's problems under the background of economic globalization, the thesis points out that postwar western welfare state's "compromise" faces the danger of ending during the course of economic globalization, and it establishes the multidimensional angle of the research of welfare state's problems during the course of economic globalization. The second chapter is the main part of the thesis. It investigates the theory of welfare state's practical problems under the background of economic globalization in the political, economic, society and ideological culture fields. It illustrates ulteriorly the following views. Looking from the economic angle, "welfare economy" is the base of the economy and social policy of welfare countries. And during the course of economic globalization, the failure of Keynes' "demand-management" policy makes "welfare economy" stalemate, which is the economic cause leading to welfare countries' "globalization crisis". Looking from the social angle, well-being state is a kind of system model devised to aim for the social framework and social demand of industry society. The economy and society's structural change in the west European...
