As a fresh scientific concept and theoretical system put forward hi this report, The Chinese Regional Politics and Economics is used for the sake of being able to integrate the theory and the practice of Chinese regionalism with such elements as the principles and approaches, the operating system, basic characteristics and historical experience, etc. in Chinese political system, so that a more explicit and thorough research can be done. The Chinese Regional Politics and Economy, as a subject, consists of two parts - transverse part and lengthways part. Lengthways, it primarily covers study of regionalism, regional politics, regional politics and economy, and regional politics and economics; while transversely, it mostly involves international regional politics, Chinese regional politics, International Regional Politics and Economics, and Chinese Regional Politics and Economics, of which, the lengthways part is the fundamental study and its core is regional politics; and the transverse part is the applied study, with the focus on Chinese regional politics and economics.Regional politics refers to the following occasion: within the given regional boundaries, a specific local government is regarded as the administrative body, and in this case, a fundamental political organizational unit comes into being, where the regional boundaries and administrative governing limits totally overlaps and cannot be divided. A fundamental organizational unit of regional politics, in terms of integrity, is characterized by irrepititive, indispensable and illegibility in the respect of governing limits of spatial distribution. The object of the Regional Politics includes: hi the perspective of the relational entity of the regional politics, regionalism and political structure; and from the relation of the regional political entity, the regional relationship between the adjacent political entities, esp. to some extent, a strategic regional relationship among the political entities that are not adjacent. Both the substantial entity and the relational entity of the regional politics constitute the object of the Regional Politics.On the basis above-mentioned, we present the concept of Chinese Regional Politics. It is a vertically-horizontally interlaced, mutually subject, and uninterrupted political syntheses with the local regional politics as the basic organizational unit. It primarily covers Chinese territory, the civil regionalism and the Chinese political system, and its administrative structure and the division of their functions. The two distinct limits - regional and political power - correspond to each other and overlap, thus, the Regional Politics with Chinese characteristics comes into being, the formation of which is governed and influenced by both the traditional Chinese politics and culture and its modern western counterpart.The Chinese regional politics and economy based on the Chinese Regional Politics and Economics refers to such a economic operating system in the background of would-be developed country: within a certain Chinese administrative region, with the legal administrative region as the substantial basis, and the governmental structureas the superstructure, it is directed by the fundamental destination of the socialist market economy with the Chinese characteristics, macroscopically controlled by the nation and actively directed by the local administration. The function of organizing the regional economy undertaken and the economic operating system embodied by the Chinese regional political body constitute the phenomena of Chinese regional politics and economy.On the basis of following this academic logic and deeper research, we put forward that the Chinese Regional Politics and Economics is a rising subject corresponsive to the International Regional Politics and Economics, which is not yet in existence and waits to be touched.
