| Modern logistics, as the foundation of supply chain management and value chain management, is directly involved with the core competencies of business enterprises and economic regions. Construction and development of the regional logistics system, is extremely important for the economic development in a district (national or regional). Meanwhile, synergetic progress becomes a key part of the regional logistics economics development. The domestic and international experts, scholars have done many works for the regional logistics development, which may include, research studies by western scholars on choosing positions in the supply chain network, the logistics collaboration between regions and the role of governments, the impellent effects of logistics infrastructure construction, etc.; research studies by local experts on logistics importance, logistics policy, logistics market and needs analysis, logistics information systems, etc. However, research of regional logistics is still in its preliminary stage, with the lack of the systematic analysis and theoretical explanation to support the tendency of synergetic progress of regional logistics development.This thesis is focused on establishing the synergetic logistics system theory, especially the study of spatial evolvement of logistics economy, which is the core of regional logistics theory system, the analysis of regional logistics system and its collaborative operations. The research outcome could enrich and perfect the theory system of regional logistics, and could also provide theoretical support and technical help for the synergetic development of regional logistics. Original works in the thesis could be summarized as follows: (1) To establish the theory system of regional synergetic logisticsThe theoretical framework visualizes the research levels in the regional logistics theory. As pointed out in the thesis, regional logistics theory is based on the theories of economics, management and system engineering, to investigate the nature and property of logistics economics in regional space and its evolvement, so as to instruct the practice of regional logistics. Meanwhile, Synergetics theory is used in the study of regional logistics system as the philosophy paradigm and main quantitative analysis tools, expanding the research realm and methodology of regional logistics.(2) To set up the regional synergetic logistics systemThe regional synergetic logistics system, which links up micro and macro levels, is established to analyze the nature, level of structure and contents of system. This not only matches the tendency of synergetic progress of regional logistics development, but also increases the degree of micro sub-system analysis in such meso-level logistics theoretical research. It thus increases the scientificalness, accuracy and maneuverability of regional logistics management.(3) To analyze the evolvement mechanism of regional logistics economicsThe trends of special evolvement of the logistics economy factor are analyzed, which covers spot form or line form gathering, strip form gathering, network form gathering, and high-class homogeneous gathering. Then the dynamics model of population migration of synergetics theory is adopted, to develop the model that describes the migration of logistics business enterprise clusters between cities. By introducing predefined parameters, the spatial evolvement regulations of regional logistics is simulated and educed. (4) To analyze the synergetic effects of regional logistics.The synergetic characteristics of the regional logistics system are analyzed, from segment, enterprise, and supply chain to industry level. An improved synergetic effect evaluation equation is developed, in order to evaluate the synergetic effects in various levels of the regional logistics system, such as manufacture and logistics in enterprise level, the single node supply chain, multi nodes supply chain, the annex between logistics corporations, incompact collaboration between logistics corporations, tight collaborati...
