Logistics development has played a critical role in facilitation of the worldwide development and growth of the economies .In particular in the areas of the economic globalization, trade and investment. The " Linkages and Mobility" is now becoming the important contents of international trade and investment arenas. The theme of ((World Investment Report 2001)) of "United Nations Conference on Trade and Development" has been "Promoting Linkages". The report has emphasized, "The growing spread and mobility of TNCs (transnational corporations) are making the local conditions more, but not less, important". The increased freedom of the movement of the productions factors does not mean that global production is spreads equally to all of the economic sectors. The "intensifying competition" is making the transnational corporations more heavily relying on links with external partners (suppliers, buyers or even competitors). In recent years, logistics has gradually become an important value-added point in the process of industrial growth and has generated a structure adjustment to the worldwide economies in the new global age.The relationship between competitive advantage and logistics growth is dependent and very close. Primarily, more and more firms (especially transnational corporations) consider logistics strategy as one of their strategically prime choices when they are challenged to enhance their competitive advantage. The second is that the growth of logistics industry itself needs competitive advantage. The thriving and the prosperous of the growth need to enhance the competencies of the industry in the integrated service and material production department. Logistics growth is the important channel for the firm to acquire competitive advantage, and this leads to the power of logistics growth. There are five basic primarily activities in the value chain, which strategically are the tool of the Porter's competitive advantage theory. Two of these activities have the relationship with the logistics, namely, inbound and outbound logistics. These are the most important endogenous relationship between logistics and competitive advantage. The thesis here is to select the blankness issues as the joint point of the two fields as the point of entry research. This will combine the logistics growth with the promotion of competitive advantage of the firms and industry. This research tries to systemically study the competitive advantage of the logistics industry field and to explore the internal rules and mechanism of the logistics industry growth among the competition and the competition among the growth. The thesis is to construct the systemic framework of "logistics growth" based oncompetitive advantage, in order to study the enhancement and creation of the competitive advantage, and maintenance of the sustainable competitive advantage of the logistics growth. In this framework, logistics growth is the core, and competitive advantage is the final goal of the growth. This research analyzes three perspectives. Firstly, competitive advantage analysis among the growth transition procedure of business logistics, logistics enterprise and logistics industry; Secondly, competitive advantage analysis of the relationship transition (e.g. logistics alliance) procedure among the firms after the formalization of logistics industry; and thirdly, during the procedure of logistics growth, competitive advantage analysis of innovation which pushing the sustainable growth transition of logistics. In the systemic framework of logistics growth, the thesis identifies the concept and the scope of "logistics growth", in order to ascertain the foundation of the research. The review of the logistics growth theory is made of the three dimensions of the concept-growth, the stage-growth and the technology-growth sectors. The thesis studies and evaluates the internal and external paths of the logistics growth in order to explore the internal mechanism of logistics growth. The path growth track abides by the transition process of "fusion - fission - f...
