With the rapid development of economy, ecological environment come to have a harm effect on the economic development, which attracts people's attention. How to coordinate the development between economic development and the ecological environment(EDEE) to reduce the destruction of ecological environment in the economic development has become a subject that is discussed forever. The aim of the coordinative development between EDEE is to make the bad effect that economic development has caused in the range of ecological environment by more cleaning and less destroyed producing and living patterns to maintain the sustainability of economic development. At the same time we can not restrict the economic growth for the ecological environment. This thesis tries to answer theses questions based on the background mentioned above. The thesis studies which relationships between EDEE is, how the coordination between EDEE is and how to coordinate EDEE. Obviously, it is significant to answer these questions no matter in theory or in practice. Studying the relationships of EDEE, putting forward paths for the coordinative development of EDEE, and becoming references for the policy-decision are both the main subjects and the aims. That is (1) Proposing the suggestions for policy-decision of China and west of China by studying the relationship between EDEE and comparing the coordinative development of EDEE of several countries. (2) Collecting China's data related to EDEE from 1991 to 2001, establishing index system of coordinative development between EDEE, and evaluating the coordinative development of China by the index system. (3) Obtaining insights from comparing successes in coordinative development of EDEE of several countries, deepening people's understanding on coordinative development of EDEE, which is good to deal with their relationship. (4) Trying to put forward a clear, feasible framework that is measured in quantity, which lays a foundation for improving the policy-decision of the government and the understanding of the public. The major methods that is used in this thesis are as follows: First, this thesis proposes the framework of theory of EDEE by combining the theory with the practice, the theoretical research with empirical research, the horizontal comparison with vertical comparison and materialism methods. Second, it adopts the factor analyses to analyze the major factors that affect the coordinative development, and put forward paths to coordinative development of EDEE. What's more, it takes Xinjiang for example to study the coordinative development of EDEE further in the end.The major renovations include (1) In theoretical aspect. First, it regards economic development and ecological environment as two super-systems of the EDEE system. Then the basic characteristics and the index system of EDEE are put forwards. Next, it evaluates the coordinative development of EDEE of China, which provides a feasible sketch for understanding and mastering their relationship. Lastly, it analyzes their relationship, the reasons of non-coordinative development, and testifies that economic development and ecological environment can be coordinative by developmental experience at home and abroad. (2) In methodological aspect. There are two points. Firstly, it studies and compares the present statues of China's EDEE by property analysis from 1991 to 2001, which lays a methodology foundation for the research in this field. Secondly, the game theory is introduced in the thesis, which is used to analyze the game behavior between governments and enterprises or farmers in the ecological construction. Furthermore, it analyzes the reasons of game behavior and gives some suggestions in the end.
