| From modern age, Xiangshan County of Guangdong province had witnessed many outstanding persons, which included the students, the businessmen and the statesmen with overseas background.The group of the Xiangshan overseas Chinese had had an important role in the change of modern China. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction and discusses the acadamic achievement .The second part is main contain and includes four chapters. The first chapter has three minor parts to describe the early and modern overseas emigrants of Xiangshan to go abroad, the business activities and the students abroad as the special emigrant group, and analyzed the concentrating-area problem of students of Xiangshan who studied in US in later Qing in details. The second chapter is divided into three small parts to discuss the definition, origin, character, fall of the compradors and analyzed the relations between returned overseas Chinese of Xiangshan and modern Chinese compradors. In addition, this part discusses the process that the compradors of Xiangshan changed to the national entrepreneur in 19 century. The third chapter uses two parts to describe the overseas emigrants' business tradition in Xiangshan and the process of historical development for overseas Chinese of Xiangshan investing modern Chinese enterprise. At the same time, according to the enterprises of all the three regions that Shanghai, Guangzhou and Xiangshan that had been invested by overseas Chinese of Xiangshan, the thesis explains the positive function of the returned people of Xiangshan from overseas in developing the modern Chinese capital .Chapter 4 is divided into two small parts to discussed the influence of four main returned politicians on the modern Chinese politics and relates the achievement of returned overseas magistrates of Zhongshan county .The third part is a conclusion that analyzes the influence for returned overseas Chinese of Xiangshan to modern Chinese social change.
