Based on the relationship of Capital and historical materialism, this thesis discussesabout the position of the book Capital in whole Marxist theories. It takes a conclusionthat Marx's research on plutonomy is the precondition of historical materialism .Historical materialism is a historical fruit which comes from the combination ofphilosophy and economics. But Marx did not stop at this piont,he would go ahead firmly. At the newly formed stage ,Marx write out his great work Capital with further researchon plutonomy at one side, and his newly borned historical materialism at the otherside. So,Capital means more research on political economics and historicalmaterialism.Marx is the first person who possess of those two characteristices. Capital is Marx's another historical achievement after his historical materialism. Why can Marx reaches these two great theoretical achievement? It is because Marx haschanged his direction of research and the methodology of thought. This change is veryimportant. But what has changed in Marx's research direction? We know that traditionalphilosophy put a lot of energy on metaphysical problems, such as the world is made ofmaterial or idea; those who hold the view that the world is entirely composed of matterare Materialism;those who holding that reality is fundamentally mental in nature areidealism. But Marx said those two sides are all wrong. Because metaphysical problemshave no answer any way, and any work on it would be no value indeed. Marx has nointerest on metaphysical problems, his interest is practice. Marx has said, What's theimportant thing in the world?get some explanations or to do something to change theworld? Marx's answer is to change it.To do something to change the world isfoundmental, which all our understandings and explanations are based on it. So,in Marx'sopinion, a lot of questions and a lot of arguments are no value at all。Marx's first attemptwith this idea is his worldwidly famous work now known as The Economic andPhilosophical Manuscripts of 1844.During the period he was distancing himself from theyoung Hegelians, and study the work of the British political economists,AdamSmith,David Ricardo, and James Mill. And with the support of research of politicaleconomics ,Marx has promptly surpassed Hegel and Feuerbach ,The Theses onFeuerbach and The German Ideology begin Marx's concern with the different forms ofhuman society ,and their evolutionary succession in response to contradictions orirresoluble tensions between the different classes ,or productive forces,in society. And which change has happened on Marx's methods?Marx's change in his methods 5is also a revolutionary in our world. Marx's new method is not only on philosophy, butalso on economics. It is the combination of philosophy and economics. Because Marx hasa economical method, Marx's phislosophy is not metaphysics. And on the other side, because Marx has reached historical materialism, so,his economics is also better than theother's. There are two greatest topics in Marx's research across his whole life, those areinvestigating the general regulation of the social development, and investigating thespecial regulation in the capitalism society development. If we say that Marx hasachieved the general regulation in Ideology Of German,we can also say that Marx hasachieved the special regulation in the capitalism society development in Capital. If we have no Capital ,we will have no a Marxist political economics, there is noproblem about this estimation. And we can also get a conclusion that if there is noCapital, there is no Marxist socialism theory, because Surplus-value theory is theprecondition of Marxist socialism theory. So ,it is Capital and it's Surplus-value theorymade Marxist socialism theory true.Or socialism theory would still stay at the stage ofUtopian. This thesis analyzed the process of historical materialism and the book Capital. It'spu...
