Consumption refers to man's actions by which their demand could be contented. In other word, consumption is a process that man use up material product or labor service during their living time. In broad sense, consumption falls into manufacturing consumption and living consumption. For manufacturing consumption, human beings use raw materials, energy resources, machinery and facilities to make new products. Living consumption means the activities that man consume material or mental products or service for meeting their living demand. In this study, consumption refers to individuals consumption i.e., ultimate consumption. Consumers are all individuals who consume material products or service. Observing from market, consumers are individuals who have real or latent demand for some products or service. Consumer behavior indicates a series of actions of consumers' selecting, estimating, buying and using some commodity or service. Those activities are guided by consumer's mind. Study on consumer behavior, i.e., the basic theory of consumption economics, is multidicipline and has multiple perspective prescription. In this domain, there are a lot of researchers from different academic fields with common interests in affection between human beings and markets. The early western researchers devoted themselves to the study on synthesis academic model of consumer behavior. They supposed that consumer behavior could be explained and described by a synthesis academic model. However, with the developing in this research field, researchers were aware of the complexity of consumer behavior. It is impossible to study consumer behavior entirely depending on a single academic model since consumption involves majority of man's mentality factors. The main metric study on consumer behavior is total consumption amount in traditional macro-economics domain. The key analysis method is consumption function by which relationship between individuals' income and expenditure is described and individuals' consuming style is explained. Since J.M. Keynes put forward consumption function, it is a protracted study field attracting many economists for long time. Moreover, consumption function has been a basic theme of macro-economics forever. Econometrics model is aimed to test and develop academic theory. Building an econometrics model based on a hypothesis, then estimating and examining that model by sample data, therefore to infer how degree of the model is correct or not, to revisal the academic theory if the model failed. This process may hasten the generation of new academic ideas, just like the development of consumption function from absolute income hypothesis, to relative income hypothesis, to lifecycle hypothesis and to rational expectation hypotheses. Consumer behavior reflects the process of consumer's satisfaction of their requirements. Consumer's mentality prescribes direction and objection of man's behavior. Consumer behavior shows off consumer's attitude and decision. This whole procedure involves demand evocation, motive and manner formation, and purchases decision. In psychology perspective, consumer behavior can be considered as the process that consumers transform their purchase idea to buying action. The marketers consider that consumer behavior reflects consumer's conduct by awareness from advertisements, communication and buy decision. In information times, all enterprises are faced with the same problem: large amount data, but less valuable information. Therefore, Data mining is named by analyzing deeply in large database for useful information, just like pan for gold from ore. Data mining explores knowledge with no hypothesis distinguishes the traditional data analysis (such as, data querying, report form, OLAP). The object of data mining is to find couch and meaningful knowledge by data summary and concept description, classification and prediction, cluster and association analysis.
