The research on knowledge-transfer has been paid more and more attention since 1990s in the world with the rising of knowledge-based economy. Technology innovation and knowledge innovation are the main power to push the economic development during the time of knowledge-based economy. So many experts in the world have studied the relationships between basic research and technology as well as its effects on the economical development in the national innovation system. The main purpose of this dissertation is to set up the measuring method and evaluation indicators for analyzing the knowledge-transfer from basic research to technology innovation, and furthermore to give some suggestions to improve the efficiency of national innovation system (NIS) by reviewing the performance of NIS China. The focuses of this dissertation include: basic theory on the knowledge transfer in NIS, the setting-up of analyzing framework on the knowledge transfer from basic research to technology by the linkage of paper cited in patents on the bases of summary on the international experience in this field; and building the method and indicators by data-mining techniques in order to analyze quantitatively the knowledge transfer from basic research to technology through patent; and finding some measures to improve the combination between basic research and technology by reviewing the obstacle in the process of knowledge transfer in China .
