| Interest integration is an important function of a party,and a ruling party must take it as it's major obligation. How to cope with the integration crisis is a serious task that all the ruling parties are having to face. Especially during the social transformation period in China, interest disintegration and contradiction have appeared in an unprecedented way. The Communist Party of China should change it's pattern of interest integration and greatly enhance it's capacity of integration. The thesis takes Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought, Deng Xiaoping Theory and The Important Thought of "Three Represents" as its guide,discusses the universal laws of interest integration, the challenges that the CPC are facing, and the basic experiences and lessons that the Party has learned in the past. Basing on these theoretical, practical and historical analyses,the thesis puts forward a new point of view that the Party should realize two kinds of essential changes in the pattern of interest integration. And then, the thesis probes into some strategic problems, such as the objectives,principles, guidelines, basic ways, the systems and mechanisms of interest integration, and also talks about the ways of how to improve the Party's capability of interest integration. The thesis is composed of six chapters. Chapter 1: Interest Integration is an Important Function of a Ruling Party. This chapter is about the common laws on interest integration, including three points: The first point is about the relation between party and interest. Any party, no matter where it is and when it was born, always struggles for the special interests of some specific social classes which it represents for. A party always plays a role as a tool with which some social classes can realize their particular interests, because the party can express, synthesize their interests in a political way. The second point is about the conception of interest integration and disintegration. Interest integration and disintegration play a significant role in the progress of human society. The third point is about the ruling party's function of interest integration,which is fatal to a ruling party's development. Characteristics of ruling party's integrating function are also discussed in this section. Chapter 2: The Condition of Interest Disintegration in the Process of Social Transformation in China and the Challenges that the CPC are Facing. Interest disintegration involves the interest requirement, the interest subject, the interest source, the interest distribution, the interest relations, and so on. The thesis also expounds the reason of the disintegration of interest structure in China,and analyzes the challenges that the disintegration has issued to the CPC's ideology,organizations, systems,functions, and its position as the ruling party. Chapter 3: Two Kind of Essential Changes in the CPC's Pattern of Interest Integration. Reviewing the course of past practice, summing up the experiences and lessons the CPC has learned in this regard, the thesis comes to a conclusion that the Party should improve two kind of essential changes in the pattern of interest integration. The first change is from the revolutionary party's integrating pattern to the ruling party's integrating pattern, the second one is from plan-oriented pattern to market- oriented pattern. Chapter 4: The CPC's Objectives,Principles and Guidelines on Interest Integration. First, the structure objectives, system objectives, function objectives and the ultimate objectives of interest integration are discussed in the chapter. Secondly, it sets forth five principles as followed: taking development as the basic means, integrating in a moderate way, attaching equal importance to both efficiency and fairness, Bearing in mind the objective of common prosperity and taking all stratums' interest into consideration.
