A Study On Agile Enterprise And Its Running Mechanisms

Along with the quick development of network economy and knowledge economy, the emergence and alternation of new technology is more and more quick, and the life cycle of products is also more and more short. Besides, the demands of clients are growingly individual and diversified. Therefore, the rival environment that enterprises are confronting is unceasingly changed and unpredicted. All these must require enterprise of 21st century to own agile competitive competence to rein in the changeful and uncertain environment. Under such background, a sort of enterprise that concentrates on core competence and is able to recombine rapidly its inner and exterior capability and resource, thereby to respond rapidly market opportunity is giving birth to. The enterprise is named as agile enterprise (AE). The academicians in the world are attaching importance to AE theory. Based on the analysis and overview of the related literature and research status, this thesis is mainly concerned with AE's basic theory and its running mechanisms. As a whole, this thesis can be divided into five parts.The part one is exordium. The part two including Chapter 2, 3, 4 is about the general defining, the structure analysis and the realization mechanisms. The part three including Chapter 5,6,7,8 is about the research of the running mechanism from running methods (including the method of agile competition and the method of agile resource collocation), running processes and running conditions. The part four is about agility evaluation of AE. The part five is about the summarization and expectation. As a whole, the thesis includes 65 definitions, 72 charts and tables and 29 models of the mechanisms or concepts.On the basis of analyzing the change of competitive environment of today's enterprises, Chapter 1 firstly discusses the origin of agility and AE, and analyzes the motives in practice for AE giving birth to .The objective of the thesis is then pointed out, and the research frame is presented after the statuses and shortages in the researches of AE are reviewed.Chapter 2 defines Agility and Agile Enterprise. The difference and sameness among Agility, Flexibility and Leanness are differentiated and analyzed. The essential characters, fundamental characters and common characters and attributes of AE are discussed. The difference and sameness between the related concepts are differentiated and analyzed. In addition, it classifies AE according to their core competence and pullulating phase. The thesis thinks over that agile enterprise is a kind of middle organization of "half-market and half-organization" to concentrate on core competence and then to realize virtual integration via networking and integrating with its clients, suppliers and associatesChapter 3 researches on the basic cell and basic structures of AE. It putts forward the hypothesis that the basic cell of AE is capability entity, and analyzes the reason that the capability entity is considered as the basic cell of AE theoretically and practically. The capability entity's definition, classification and characters are analyzed and its conceptive model is putted forward. The analyzing object of whole thesis then is set up. In addition, the organization structure, personnel structure, capability structure and resource structure of AE and their structure models are analyzed and putted forward.Chapter 4 researches on the realization mechanisms. It researches on the mechanism of AE exteriorizing. And the definition is put forward and the effects,realization objects and process are discussed. It researches the mechanism of AE Modularization. And the definition is put forward and the characters, effects and the realization principles, objects and process are discussed. It researches the mechanism of AE Integration. The definition is put forward .The characters, effects of AE integration and the realization models are discussed. It researches the mechanism of AE Networking. The definition is presented. The characters are discussed, and then the definition, characters and basic functions of the network information system and its influences to competitive relationship are discussed. The Network Agglomeration Effect and Network Lock-in Effect are analyzed. A dynamics realization model for AE's information system increasing profit based on network and common realization model for AE running based on network are putted forward.Chapter 5 researches on AE's competition mechanism. It gives the definition of agile competition and discusses its basic characters, and then analyzes the subjects, objects and market. On the basis of analyzing the relationships of agile cooperation and agile competition, the model of the agile competition is putted foreword. In the end, the agile competition law is analyzed.Chapter 6 researches on the mechanism for AE allocating resource. The definition of the agile collocation resource is given and the characters are analyzed. On the basis of analyzing of its latitudes, the model of the agile collocation resource based on opportunity is putted forward. The choice mechanism of capability entity associates based on Agent is studied and its model is putted forward. The share of resources and capabilities between AE and its associates are analyzed.Chapter 7 researches on the process mechanism of AE. It analyses the characters and classifies AE's process. It thinks over that the process essential of AE is to set up and to drive the network of core competence entity consisted of AE's core competence entity and its associate's. AE needs to set up the different network of core competence entity aiming at different customization and opportunity. The preparative processes, organizing processes, running processes and ending processes for AE moving are analyzed emphatically. And the processes model is putted forward. The demonstrations on customization- -based agile supply chain and on opportunity-based agile virtual enterprise are analyzed.Chapter 8 researches on the running conditions of AE. The technical conditions and social conditions for AE running are analyzed. Several kinds of important enabling technical subsystems are analyzed. In addition, the multi-agent system and AERP technology is analyzed mainly.Chapter 9 researches on the evaluation of AE's agility. The significances and principles of the evaluation are discussed. On the base of summarizing the researches of the evaluation of enterprise agility in existence, The indexes system of AE's agility evaluation are putted forward in the thesis. And the account of given a demonstration with analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is putted up.In chapter 10, all achievements of the thesis are summarized and the future research work is sketched out.
