It has been a great concern of the reports of judicial activities and the legalproblem raised from them with the media's intervention into social life. It is urgent toregulate the media reports because the conflict between the rights of media reports andjudicial power, personal rights and the rights of fair trial becomes more and moreserious. In the theoretical structure of the conflict and balance between power and rights(judicial power and the right of speech freedom )and right and right (the right of mediareport, fair trial and personal right ), the dissertation tries to focus on the legal grounds,principles and standards and specific measures of judicial restriction on the media reportof judicial activities in the United States, under the background of the history ofprotection and restriction on the right of speech freedom and other basic human rightsof the U.S.A. Supreme Court, and conclude the revelation and experience on the legalrestriction of media report of judicial activities.There are five parts totally.Part one is "protection and restriction ---two sides of a coin", mainly discusses ontwo aspects: the legality of media report of judicial activities and the restriction on it.Part two deals with several problems of legal restriction of the media report on thejudicial activities, primarily introducing two check principles of speech of freedom ,clear and present danger text and right balancing principle, analyzing their advantagesand disadvantages.Part three is "the legal restriction of collection of judicial information by media",analyzes the legal restriction on the media when they collecting the judicial informationbased on the cases of Supreme Court of U.S.A..Part Four mainly talked about the legal restriction of invading action of mediareport on judicial activities .Part E is focused on the reestablishment relationship between the media and thejudicature, concluding the rules of the history of legal restriction of media report ofjudicial activities and the lessons and experiences which could be useful for China.
