Political Conflict Theory Under Democractic Society

Political conflict is an important character of capitalistic democracy, which primary symbol is nonviolence. This kind of political conflict based on so-called political common understanding is different from the understanding of traditional politics. It works in a peaceful, mild way without violence in traditional politics. To be general, it is a conflict of positive sum game between political main bodies. This theory is regarded as great fruit to replace the revolutionary theory of class struggle. Not only capitalistic democracy could not die out because of class conflict, but also social contradiction would be relieved because of political conflict, which provides capitalistic society with a safe valve for ever. In capitalistic society, there would be no revolutionary class struggle any more, and ideology has ended. By analyzing and criticizing the theory of political conflict under the condition of democracy, writer helps people to understand its nature, and helps to understand its reactionary nature and limitations further by exposing the mask of capitalistic democracy. Political conflict under the condition of democracy as a safe valve to relieve peoples'dissatisfaction can not solve the basic contradiction of capitalistic society but relieve increasing social contradiction. With the accumulation of basic contradiction of capitalistic society, these limitations of safe valve would appear gradually, and the safe valve would be discarded finally. This point has been proved by extensive political difference in the western countries. Just as what Engels said,〝class must disappear inevitably, just as they appeared inevitably before. With the disappearance of class, the state would be destined to die out. The society that is based on liberal and equal coalition of produces and organizes production in new way will put the state where it should be, just in history museum , laid aside with spinning wheel and bronze ax〞Nevertheless, Engels also realized the importance of political conflict existing as a sort of political operation type in a certain historical stage. This is the necessity of our study. Especially, our country is experiencing social switch with rapid development, and all kinds of interests conflicts are appearing gradually. So, how to evaluate the political conflict under the condition of democracy and how to built our own systems of conflict administration and crisis administration based on critique and using for reference is a most important issue.
