The Chinese Side Of The Political New Theory

This paper tries to explore the concepts and framework of border administration in its broad sense. Having made a thorough reference to previous studies, the paper conducts systematic research on the economic, political, cultural and social construction of border areas, and highlights the development, harmony and security of those areas. In doing so, the paper adheres to a rational survey of the border history and its actual practice, guided by a scientific development view and previsional academic spirit.After sorting out the historical changes and development of border administration, the paper puts forward four stages in the studies of this field as follows: the stage of studying border history and geography, the stage of studying border historiography, the stage of studying border ethnography, and the stage of studying border development. Those four stages are somehow overlapping and mutually beneficial. Acknowledging the positive contributions of previous studies, the paper also points out their advantages and disadvantages: great capacity for annotations and policies, obvious unitariness and narrowness, and inconspicuous humanism. The paper probes into the theoretical framework of this field and proposes that it is a discipline concerning the administration and human-oriented development of border economy, politics, culture and society. The object of this study is the economic, political and cultural administration and development of the ethnic groups living within the inland borders. Its features are humanitarian, developmental, synthetic, integrated, harmonious and foreseeing, which are the logical start and final goal of the research work. The border administration, in its broad sense, primarily includes the categories of border history and geography, border politics, and border economy and society. Focusing on the strategies of border development, economy and administration, it is greatly concerned with the urbanization and the cultural construction of border areas and the construction of the New Countryside, harmonious society and border security.
