Synthesizing the plenty of historic literature and the existing researchachievements of domestic and abroad scholars, this paper studies the developingprocess of the present Taiwanese women's political participation since 1949 withthe voting results of all levels government services in Taiwan. This paper pointsout that the early Taiwanese women's political participation profit from thereserved-seats system on women's political participation. The changing numberin women's political participation in different period is connected greatly withthe degree of feminism ideas diffusion and the political opening. In order to studythe Taiwanese women's political participation thoroughly, this paper analyzes itby focusing on the Legislative Yuan of Taiwan and comparing the represents oflegislators between men and women. This article takes advantage of synthesiscompare and analyzing on single case to discuss the gender political zoology ofLegislative Yuan in Taiwan during the process of its discuss official business. Atlast, the thesis roundly analyzes the different represents of legislators in politicalparticipation between men and women based on the politics socialization and thepolitical system according to the Gender Gap Theories. There are all kinds offactors which affect Taiwanese women's political participation including societyand political system. The research tries to find out the particularity aboutTaiwanese women's political participation and some universality about women'spolitical participation all over the world.
