More than three-quarters of Singaporean is ethnic Chinese, it also is the only country with a majority ethnic Chinese population besides China. Singapore has a long history of the Chinese people to emigrate. At least from the Ming Dynasty, China has a clear historical record of people living in Singapore. Although the Chinese people emigrated to Singapore under layers of the people are illiterate, as a child growing up in their environment under the Confucian culture, thus, they were all greatly influenced by Confucianism. After moving to Singapore, they still kept Confucian code of conduct, so, the traditional Confucian culture was brought to Singapore. Therefore, we can say that Confucian culture has a long history and tradition in Singapore.Singapore's Confucian culture in the process of transmission, due to the local Malay culture, which is bound to be some variation of the number of produce. Baba culture is the result of integration between Confucian culture and Islamic culture. Baba culture had become the prototype in the mid-19th century and become complete in 20th century. However, it quickly began to move toward an end in the 20th century after the 1960s, because of the impact of Singapore's founding policy. Study after disappearing fast Baba culture and the reasons for its formation. We believe it has a very important practical significance for today's culture modernization.After setting up consulates in Singapore since the Qing dynasty, in the efforts of Consul, the tradition of Confucian culture in Singapore started a new situation. Among them, Zuo Binglong and Huang Zunxian contributed the greatest feat. Before that, Confucian culture in Singapore is at a low level of transmission of natural spontaneous state. His views, maybe could be viewed partly as a major contribution to the Confucian culture, about two world wars on the Confucian position, and his Philanthropism in the course of the debate between the Christian and Confucian.In the history of Confucianism's spreading in Singapore, Confucianism had undergone two large-scale Cultural Revival Movement. The first occurred at the end of 19th century and early 20th century, another occurred on the 1980s of 20th century. Confucian Revival Movement in the previous almost closed as a pure culture movement, but the second movement led by Lee Kuan Yew was more like a political campaign. Singapore's economic success, but it also undermined the original solid enough basis of Confucianism. The lead of Confucianism's spreading in Singapore, Nanyang University, inevitably became the ultimate political sacrifice. Historical tradition of Confucian culture in Singapore was artificially terminated, Lee Kuan Yew on this issue may be to be blamed.
