It is generally believed that , in the early Han Dynasty,Huanglao theory was the major guiding ideology. But this does not mean that Confucian Political Ethics was abandoned. I believe that in the promotion of social values and in the practical handling of social issues, Confucina ethics was playing a more political role. The rising of Confucianism in the dynasty of Han-wu emperor was not a sudden event, but was the result of the accumulation by the monarchs before Han-wu emperor.
