A Study On Protecting Human Rights Of The Minorities In China

The issue, protecting human rights of the minorities in China, is not only a very important thing related with the solidarity among nationalities in our country, with the social harmoniousness, with common development and prosperity among nationalities, but also an over-all event greatly paid attention to between international intercourse, also an important part to realize the grandiose tactic of the western exploitation in China.Up to now, there is little expert and systemic achievement to study the protection of human rights of the minorities in China. The essay, based on the title--A Study on Protecting Human Rights of the Minorities in China, and based on the predecessors' achievements, mainly aims to basic research issues to protect human rights of the minorities in China, to summarize successful experience and existed deficiency, to discuss the orientation that our country's human rights of the minorities need to be improved, and to put forward some basic countermeasures, steps and methods to perfect the protection of human rights of our country's minorities.The essay mainly contains the followings: first, the theoretical foundation to study human rights of the minorities; second, the basic situation and particularities of protecting human rights of the minorities in the New China; third, the CPC's concepts on human rights; fourth, the basic features, pattern and contents of protecting human rights of the minorities in China; fifth, the practice in protecting human rights of the minorities in China; and the last, the problems and deficiency and how to settle them in respect of protecting human rights of the minorities in China.The main research methods applied in this essay: combining theory and practice; uniting theoretical documents and statistical data with fieldwork; linking law and ethnology; integrating general studies with particular ones; and combing qualitative analysis with quantitative ones.There are some main characteristics in this essay: first, regarding idea, system, practice, consciousness and basic theories of human rights and the social development as the base and premise to study human rights of the minorities; second, systematically summarizing and inducing the basic situation and particularities of protecting human rights of the minorities during the stage of the New China's foundation; third, systematically summarizing and inducing basic standpoints, policies and principles that are bided by the party and the government when they protect human rights of the minorities; fourth, systematically and inducing the pattern, the legal system and basic properties of Chinese institution to protect human rights of the minorities; fifth, systematically summing up the practice and achievements that we have got in protecting human rights of the minorities since the New China founded, which provides us a base to recognize issues and deficiency during practicing the protection of human rights of the minorities , and to investigate and perfect them; and the last, from respective angles of general and particular protection, the essay reveals issues and deficiency during practicing the protection of human rights of the minorities in our country. On the basis of mentioned above, the essay proposes some constructive and operable countermeasures to reinforce construction of the system, improve the legal system of human rights of the minorities, highlight economic and cultural reconstruction, enhance cadre ranks of the minorities, heighten idealistic and democratic education, increase social survey and study in national areas, and strengthen international cooperation in protecting human rights of the minorities.
