As a fact, globalization is a problem with which every country must face. Globalization has already influenced politics, economics, culture, and social development in a great degree, and furthermore, this influence will continue. China, as a member of globalization, will be inevitably influenced by globalization, especially when China adopted Socialism with Chinese characteristics. Under this situation, it is more necessary to recognize the problem of Socialism with Chinese characteristics from the viewpoint of globalization. To solve this problem means that a new reading the laws of socialist development in the modern conditions of globalization.According to literature, the term"globalization"was first used in 1980s. In 1983, Theodore Levitt published an article"The Globalization of Markets"in Harvard Business Review. Although Marx and Engles did not use globalization definitely, their thoughts contain ideas of globalization. Their globalization thinking is greatly significant in both theory and practice in grasping the development of modern globalization. The generation and development of globalization is necessary, because globalization represents the inevitable tendency of the social productivity, communication, and development; it also represents the necessary social stage of communism after the globalization of capitalism and its transition into socialism. Globalization is a double-edged sword, we cannot simply regard it as blessing or disaster. Its influence is different to different countries. The choice of Chinese Socialism was made automatically under the modern globalization, the calling of economic bloom and powerful state. The Chinese characteristic socialism was formed under the historical development of globalization with which it has an inherent relationship. There is a highly historical simultaneity and agreement between the Chinese characteristic socialist road and globalization. Under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, that Chinese people stepping on the socialist road was inevitable in modern globalization and special condition in China. From the mid-19th century, the second Industrial Revolution in the European and American countries came into its bloom, and capitalism developed from its free competition stage into its monopolized stage. It was precisely under those factors that globalization entered a new developing phase. Against this background, the Communist Party of China led Chinese people to the socialist system in our country through the New Democratic Revolution and the socialist revolution. It was the socialist system that liberated China finally established the People's Republic of China. The first 30 years after the foundation of the People's Republic of China laid the preliminary material base for our country's socialist industrialization and the modernization, and also the basic political premise constitute foundation.In the 1950s-1960s, in the course of globalization there appeared two big opposite camps of the socialism and the capitalism. Those two camps underwent reorganizations and the differentiation in the 60s-70s, and the coexisting pattern was formed with the US-Soviet two-pole opposition and the third world. This situation changed completely in the late 80s the 90s. With the disaster of Soviet and Eastern European countries, the US-Soviet two-pole opposition's pattern came to its end, then multi-polarization was formed with the dominant position hold by the Western developed countries. No matter what political pattern is, the advancing step of globalization has never stopped. Especially when globalization came to the 1980s, there presented some new characteristics. Against the background of the contemporary globalization, the Chinese Communists gradually found out a socialist road with Chinese characteristics which is suitable for modernization of the present Chinese situation upon the profound investigation of socialist construction in terms of experience and lessons. Taking a socialist road with Chinese characteristics in globalization is the right way in which the dream of prosperous and powerful nation can be confidently realized. It was this choice that set the development of our country into the speedway.Modern globalization is a double-edged sword. It brings both challenges and opportunities to the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics in economics, politics, and culture. Socialism with Chinese characteristics has been formed in the process of globalization. In this process, we face many contradictions and problems. To resolve those contradictions and problems we must first emancipate the mind. It can be said, without emancipating the mind, that there is not successful exploration of the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The process of reform and opening up is a process of China's gradual integration into the globalization and of the development of the socialist market economy. In this process, we have successfully opened up the development of Socialism with Chinese characteristics. Therefore, under the new historical conditions, only to continue to emancipate the mind and to unswervingly carry forward reform and opening up policy, to develop the socialist market economy, can the path of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics be more and more broadened. The road of socialism with Chinese characteristics formed in the process of globalization will be necessarily impacted by globalization. The scientific development concept and building a socialist harmonious society as the important strategic thinking which the CPC Central Committee have implemented can be said to be the positive response for this. Thus the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics has come to a new development.The choice of the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics under globalization has been of great significance. This path has not only provided a kind of development model which is different from the Western development model for the developing countries, but also a successful model which is to construct and develop socialism. This choice will make itself clear to all human kinds that Socialism is the necessary way that must be taken and that Socialism surpasses the capitalism, thus in a low ebb of the International Communist Movement the bright prospect of socialism has be exhibited.
