Textual Research On Banner

The importance of banner is needless to say, which is not only an important theory issue, but also an important practice issue. However, it is pity that people might be not able to tell something they are so familiar with in detailed, not to mention the most important issue of banner. Issues related to banner such as classification, content, extension, the ins and outs, the relationship of matters that belong to the same category or the similar category(such as line, Party Constitution), the differences, etc., which failed to reach agreement among the people, even the academic community exists different viewpoints. In this thesis, the author intended to research into the series of issues, following the guidance of Marxism, taking the issue of banner as principle line, obeying the verified as the basic method, as well as research those issues in five chapters.Introduction part describes the research value, statue, content, and methods of banner issues.Chapter one analyses the concept, classification and relationship between banner and line. The banner includes the specific external physical tangible flag in narrow sense, such as the flag of the Chinese Communist Party, the flag of the People's Liberation Army of China, and the national flag of the People's Republic of China. It also include the abstract internal spiritual metaphysics banner in broad sense, such as the Marxism-Leninism banner which set on the found of Chinese Communist Party, the banner of Mao Zedong Thought which set in Seventh National Congress, the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory which set on the Fifteenth National Congress, and the great banner of socialism with Chinese characteristics- the collective wisdom of the Party and people which set on the Seventeenth National Congress. Line not only refers to the specific spatial route from one place to another, but also refers to the abstract method in order to finish a task (for example, the Madam Line), even include the basic line that the Party and the country adhering in ideological and political (such as the ideological line, the political line, the organizational line, and the mass line, etc.).The banner is vertical, of which the corresponding logical verb is to held high, while the line is horizontal, of which the corresponding logical verb is to follow; the position of banner is supreme, covering a long time even lasts forever, and involves every domain, however, the position of line is lower than that of banner(except ideological line),which covering a certain time and domain; as a set of concept, the relationship between banner and line is contain and included( the logical relationship of two concept include : contains, cross, disjoint, tangent, identical),i.e., the banner contains the line, and line is included (belongs to) in banner; banner consists of theory, practice, movement, system and involves goal, process, path and prospect, while the meaning of line is far from being such complete functions.Chapter two researches the implication and functions of the banner and line issue: the Party's ideological line original lies at the basic tenets of Marxism, the historical origin is from the History of the Former Han Dynasty, Biography of the Thirteen Kings of Emperor Jing, found on the theory of Comrade Mao Zedong, set on the Seventh National Congress of Communist Party of China, matured in the Deng Xiaoping's address on third conference of Fifth Plenary Session of the Eleventh Party Central Committee, fixed on the amended and adopted Party Constitution on the Twelfth Communist Party of China National Congress. The relationship of political line and the ideological line is specific and abstract, Methodology and world view. The Party Constitution is the fundamental law of the Party, with the supreme position; the relationship of Party Constitution, banner and line is similar with vessel and implement, which is the carrier of banner and line, and only wrote into the Party Constitution, the legal position of banner and line can be fixed.Chapter three textual researches the ins and outs of various banner, such as the flag of Communist Party of China used to be Soviet flag even to be the Blue Sky with a White Sun flag of the Chinese Nationalists Party; the flag of the Chinese Nationalists Party experienced changes from the Blue Sky with a White Sun flag, the Blue Sky with a White Sun against the Crimson Background flag, Five-Color flag to the Blue Sky with a White Sun against the Crimson Background flag; the designer of flag of the People's Republic of China is Zeng Liansong, and so on.Chapter four analyses the ins and outs of banner in spiritual dimension. The term Marxism first used by the anarchist Bakunin in derogatory way; the term Leninism started used by the leader of Menshevik-Martov in derogatory aspect, the term Mao Zedong Thought raised by theoretical worker Zhang Xinru; the important thought of Three Represents originated in Gaozhou, cleared in Guangzhou, deepen in Shanghai,improved on Comrade Jiang Zemin's July 1st.Speech in 2001; the Scientific Outlook on Development was firstly brought by Comrade Hu Jintao in the inspection tour in Jiangxi Province, and so on.Chapter five traces back to the ancient Chinese Three Guidelines and Eight Particulars, combing the current One Guideline and Four Particulars, stating the different viewpoints of the ordinary people, and speculation the accurate content of Comrade Hu Jintao's no wavering, no slacking, and no backtracking, etc.All in all, the author holds the attitude of seeking truth from facts and pursuing the truth, following integrate theory with practice, adopting comparative method, historical method, combining the factual research and the evaluative research, internal prove, external prove, and academic collateral prove, analyzing the series issue of banner, and expecting to provide a clear and accurate to the reader.
