Over the past few years, "emerging powers" and world order in transition are getting more and more attention, particularly outbreak of the global financial crisis is to strengthen the trend. In the process of globalization, developing countries may also be necessary to face the challenges and eliminate the threats.With the rise of emerging powers, it requires to add voice in global governance. Meanwhile western powers had realized that the Group Eight was under- representativeness and failed to solve the problem, therefore taken positive action to strengthen cooperation with developing countries.In the areas of trade, finance, environmental protection, energy, development, emerging powers as a whole has its own interests and aspirations. In addition, through Heiligendamm Process Dialogue carried out by the Group Eight and five major developing countries can effectively view the role of emerging powers in the process of global governance.Since the new century, developing countries` participation is welcomed by the Group Eight, and the Group Twenty to some extent starts to enhance the representativeness of the Group Eight. Emerging powers` performance in global financial crisis has got praise from the international community.The Group Twenty reflects the new geopolitical changes .The Group Eight and the Group Twenty are the world's leading co-ordination mechanism to play an important role in global governance. The discussions pay attention to the responsibility and the role of the emerging powers in global governance.The dissertation is focused on: The Group Eight and the Group Twenty as important international co-ordination mechanism will work together for a long time.
